I saw a popular Reddit post where a lady said her husband hides in the basement whenever she watches RuPaul’s Drag Race. A lot of people were asking if the guy was homophobic, but she said no, he just doesn’t like reality shows.

That wasn’t my first thought, but I thought it was weird he didn’t just go in another room. )She said they had other rooms in the house.) It also sounded like he wasn’t doing any hobbies in the basement, or even watching another show.

I understand that spouses can have different interests, but I thought that sounded like an extreme reaction. I wonder if the guy thinks she has a crush on one of the contestants??

Maybe he has a super specific trigger or something. I used to run out of the room when anyone was watching a certain local channel because of the “weather ding” (a severe weather notification that was just a small sound but it always scared me really bad because of the implications).

That’s true. But speaking of TV shows, I had to stop watching Supernanny, Dance Moms, and the Real Housewives shows because of all the yelling. In Drag Race that mostly happens in Untucked, but I could also see how the show in general (loudness, brightness, etc.) could be sensory overload).
 
So I’ve been reading about the newer SpongeBob episodes. I came to find out all those newer ones from the 2020s were mostly homages to the earlier seasons, including sequels and episodes with similar plots.

I’m feeling that SpongeBob is going through another Simpsons situation where the show will keep lasting with newer episodes, yet they are out of creativity. At least the second half of the 2010s had more creativity and originality.
 
I was listening to a YouTube video where the guy said “What would you do if the monster under your bed offered you a dialogue?” And at first, before he finished the word, I thought he was gonna say, “offered you a Diet Coke?” 😂 I think a lot of us would have gone under.
 
Why are gold gilding on bibles and on certain big books so popular? I actually greatly dislike them. Sometimes you can find them with silver which isn't as bad. I haven't found it as an option to opt out on sadly. Sometimes you can get lucky and find them without it and it not be dusty paper book and glue.
I know at one time red ink on the page edges were really common among bibles and some other books. You would think ink would be cheaper than some sparkly dust. Idk if that is the case. You could do more color options with ink. It's less flashy. Wears and marks way less, and you don't leave a trail of sparkles everywhere you go.
I will be happy when flashy gilding goes away on Bibles and other big books. Surely it will phase out eventually..
 
I feel weird for saying this, but part of me doesn't really consider myself to be a "real" gen zer, mainly because I was a baby/toddler/little girl during the majority of the 2000s (I was born in 2003). That and I remember my childhood from the 2010s era more than the 2000s era. Hell, if I were born 10 years later, I'd be a part of gen alpha.

SpongeBob was airing before I was alive and I'm impressed that it's still going.

It's had it's ups and downs over the years. For a show that began in 1999 to last into 2025 when all other cartoons from Nickelodeon at that time are long extinct. Quite a feat.

Due to the drastic ups and downs in quality I think SpongeBob is more fun to watch at random rather than to do a pure binge of.
 
it's so cringey to hear Poofesure say "shallow and pedantic" because I know he got that from Family Guy lmao 😂 it doesn't even make sense in the context in which he's saying it.

idk maybe the joke is that he's just throwing around the phrase like Peter did in the one episode. does Poof deserve that much credit though?
 
Why is there a Kansas City Chiefs-themed Hallmark movie?? Even the coach and the Kelce mom is in it! It’s literally called “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” lol.

I think I follow different artists. I did look up the creator of Miraculous Ladybug and he reminds me a lot of other angry, bespectacled, mustached people that have been referred to as lolcows. I might not wear glasses, but he is nutty.
 
I think this is the smallest amount of online members I've seen at a given time. To be fair, it's pretty early in the morning.

I think part of the reason I can’t really have an aesthetic is the fact that I change my profile picture way too much. I think I’ve probably changed it five times within the past two weeks. Right now… maybe I could make my aesthetic being green, but I’m sure I’m gonna just change this avatar in a few days.
