Also, if you guys have beaten Viola too, we can each do our wifi-battles whenever we want until the next part starts! I myself am looking for someone to battle against, so if anyone doing the challenge wants to battle, just ask me. :)

I wouldn't mind having a quick battle if we're ever on at the same time. Seeing as I technically didn't finish the gym leader with my Vespiquen, though, should I leave her off the team when I battle you?

He was from route 3 :) On that route my encounter was a Zigzagoon because i consider the nuzlocke started only after i get poke balls,and i killed it by accident anyway :p But thanks for the advice :)

By the way,what time are we starting the second part? Im really hyped and i want to play after midnight today,because it will be 9/9 technically :p

By the way,i still have a Fennekin to give away if anybody wants it,plus any first gen starter you want i can get it for you when we reach the Lab,since im not allowed to use them :)

Since I couldn't really find anyone else on campus with.a 3DS, would one of you mind being a 'middle man' to get my meditite into OR and then back to X?

I'll probably continue myself once it hits midnight. Small secret? I didn't start as late as I claimed to due to the inconveniences with my time zone... I actually started at 8pm in GMT. Evidently that's going to be a trend with me.

EDIT: I decided to start a little early... and I'm starting to regret training to level 20. Everything's being one-shotted; Buzz Buzz is taking little more than chip damage... I'm considering leaving Route 4's trainers until I get the team member I'm picking up in this part.

I'm at Professor Sycamore now. I have a feeling that this is going to be a cakewalk.

EDIT: I literally didn't take damage. I've decided- I'm not grinding for Grant's battle.

I reached the lab,no problem so far. My encounter for Route 4 was a Skitty,i caught it but it won't be part of my team. Also i picked a Charmander from Sycamore,and since i cant use it if anybody wants it i'll give it away :)

I just reached Parfume Palace and i will stop for today. I caught a Doduo on Route 5 wich i won't use (Even if i love Dodrio) because i don't need it,but i also caught a Modest Oddish on Route 6! :) He will be part of my team :)

Hey guys, just letting you all know it's okay to go ahead and start on Part 2! Part 2 has officially started, and everyone may advance all the way to defeating Grant, the second gym leader, and no further. Part 2 will end on Friday, 09/11/2015 at 10:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), so Grant the second gym leader MUST be completed by then, but we also can't go anywhere past him until Saturday starts in your own time zones.

I'm going to go ahead and continue my adventure now and continue on to Lumiose City. I'll update the thread later with my updated team. :)
 
I spent a little bit of time training. I also decided- I'm not going to use Furfrou. I looked at its stats, and to be honest, I already have Buzz Buzz to fulfil the role. She may not have speed, or the same typing, but even so, after the effort I made to get her with more moves, I'd rather have her.

Instead, I'm going to use Samuel the Charmander, who fills the special-sweeper role I needed. (Still not giving him a Mega Stone, though.)
 
Is it too late to join in with this? I was gonna restart my copy of Y anyway but I think I can beat the first gym by this evening :p
If I can join I was going to do a Wonderlocke, if I lose the Locke before the end of the play through (as in whole team wiped out) I'll just carry on with any spare Pokemon.

The rules I will be using are the standard Nuzlocke rules plus:
-Dupes clause, if I get a duplicate from a wondertrade I will wondertrade it again.
-Obedience clause, if I get a Pokemon too high in levels that it won't obey me I have wondertrade it again until I get an obedient Pokemon.
-Shiny clause, if I encounter a shiny at any point I can catch it, if it is outside of the first encounter I cannot use it and I can disregard the dupes and/or obedience clauses to keep it if I received it in a wondertrade.

I'll edit this in a few with my first Pokemon.

I am playing as a girl, called Emma (my nickname is Sia, an in-joke from work) and I chose Chespin as my 'starter' and have just caught Pidgey.
I wondertraded Chespin for a female Mr Mime, level 23, Soundproof, Bold, moves are Psywave, Encore, Light Screen and Reflect... I now have to trade her as she is too powerful for this noob :p Why couldn't she have been a Mime Jr?
I traded Mr Mime off and received a.... Scatterbug... Italian, male, level 3, careful, moves are Tackle and Stringshot... Not super happy about this but I can always ditch him later...

I just traded Pidgey and received a Litwick, female, level 1, modest, moves are Heat wave, Acid armor, Haze and Clear Smog. I am very happy with her as with some training she will hopefully sweep the first gym!!

I did some grinding on route 2 before catching a Weedle in Santalune Forest, which I traded for... Electrike! It is female, level 12, Rash and has the moves Thunder Wave, Leer, Howl and Quick Attack.
I will now carry on grinding Litwick in the Forest.

I caught a Bunnelby on route 3 and traded it for a Aipom, female, level 1, Jolly, moves are Counter, Quick Guard, Switcheroo and Fake Out. I've never used Aipom before so I'll give it a go.

Last encounter before the gym and I caught a Litleo, after a fair few trades- I got an influx of level 40+ Pokemon- I finally got a SHINY POOCHYENA!!!! It is male, level 2, Naughty and only knows Tackle but I shall love him forever! I have always wanted a shiny Poochyena so I could call it Max, after my dog, shame I can't rename this one but in spirit it will henceforth be known as Max :3
