Pocket Camp players: How to get the exclusive items in ACNH!

during the direct they announced there would be exclusive items available in NH for Pocket Camp players. they finally put up on their website how to get these items in-game for NH. it seems all you need is the same nintendo account linked to both PC and NH and to enter a code from PC into the eshop! you'll be able to redeem starting at 11pm PT on the 19th.

I thought they announced there wouldn't be a direct link between PC and NH... this kinda sucks? I mean the items are super cute, I just hope this won't be a regular thing because I'll have to keep redownloading Pocket Camp and my phone is full lol!

I've been playing PC for a while and my NNID has been connected since i started, but the NH reward is not shown in the list (going there through pocket camp.)

Let's be honest....those of us who played Pocket Camp were only doing it to fill the void in our hearts until New Horizons came out. XD I started the app last year just to try it out and made good progress, hopefully getting these items will be quick ^_^
