I head off in the direction of Petalburg, which isn't too far, with Swablu out of her pokeballs resting on my head, like a fluffy hat. (According to their description, they do that xD)

I look at the pool that Poliwag had been resting in. "Gee, I wonder how well it slept?" I then put Poliwag in it's Pokeball. "Yay, alright! Now...my uncle lives in Rustboro...I THINK!?!?!?!?!?" I then head in the direction of Petalburg. Eventually, Poliwag gets tired of being in it's Pokeball and leaps out on it's own. "Poliwag, do you not want to be in the ball?" "Wag!" "Alright...I don't know what you're saying, but alrighty!"

"Honestly, I hate this thing. Best I could do is teach it a bunch of HMs and then have it run around with me doing all my work, but there's even better Pokemon for that. What this thing gonna learn? Charm? Baby-Doll Eyes? That's literally gonna be it's entire moveset and I think it's just a waste of time."

"Since you're my first Pokemon, you need a name," I tell Swablu as I walk, though to anyone else it would probably seem like I was talking to myself. "Hmmm... Oh I know- Tia!"
(Fun fact- when I first played Pokemon Sapphire on game boy, Swablu was my favourite Pokemon, and I called it Tia because it evolved into Altaria (also influenced by my own name xD) )

"I'd like to try and see you use a Magikarp 'effectively'." I notice a girl who was looking for something. After talking with her, it was clear that she had a Skitty who had run away. I gave her mine, not caring for whatever her reaction was. As she eagerly ran to her father, he came to me and thanked me. He claimed to be a fisherman, and then asked whether I wanted a Carvahna or a Magikarp for my efforts. I picked the former, thanked him for the Pok?mon, and then left.

"Hm, I guess I should give a name to my Castform too... How about Callie?" Castform shook it's head, so I assume it was fine with the name. "Alright, Callie it is!" We then arrived at the forest's entrance.
"Woah, I've never seen trees this tall before." There were trees everywhere, and there were at least twice my size.
