I kind of like them but it also depends on the music and other sounds they come with since they are a bit plain looking...

I don't think so, I have a friend who is in the same boat as you and she couldn't get the Mega Charizard event from GAME to work. If not I'm going to try to get multiple codes since I have two copies of X and one of Y so I can give people the shiny Gengar and Diancie.

The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about the upcoming game Pok?mon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. While pictures have yet to be posted, the information that has come out is set to reveal Mega Latios, Mega Latias as well as two brand new Megas, Mega Pidgeot and Beedrill. Images of these specific parts of CoroCoro are yet to come, so it's technically unconfirmed, but the leakers have shown other parts of CoroCoro giving credence to this. We'll bring more, and pics, as they come so keep checking back.
Edit @ 09:45: Mega Pidgeot is Normal/Flying-type with the ability No Guard and Mega Beedrill is Bug/Poison-type with the ability Adaptability. You can fly on Mega Latios & Latias in the overworld and find Pok?mon such as Reshiram, Zekrom, Dialga & Palkia in the sky

I really like the idea of being able to go into the skies. That was what I imagined when I first heard of Sky Battles in X and Y. Also it was mentioned that ALL non event legendaries would now be available for Gen VI because of being able to visit those islands so it means that we will have tons of Legendaries to catch, and therefore tons of post game. I do wonder if the megatones for Lati@s are available in game or do we have to get it via another means.

So apart from the expected G4 legendaries, it's all legendaries not available in X & Y. That's gotta be a record.

Am I dreaming?! GF is really pushing the boat out with these remakes! I've never used Pidgeot so I guess giving it a Mega will make me use it now, same with Beedrill but out of those twoI prefer Beedrill's design.
I'm looking forward to flying around with Lati@s and catching all the legendaries- I hope there are more than just Palkia, Dialga, Reshiram and Zekrom since I already have them (I got Palkia and Dialga shiny from the events ages ago), I hope they have Ho-Oh flying around up there...

They're all on islands. They pretty much confirmed the following legendaries:
Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Regigigas, Heatran, Cresselia, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus.
All legendaries not mentioned are either available in X/Y, or were already in OR/AS (like the Regi trio, Lati@s, etc.), or are event-exclusive and thus not on the islands.
