(yay done painting finallyyyyyy)
She invites me to stay a little while, so I do.
This family is a fairly comfortable one.
The WINSTRATE--hold on a second.
WINSTRATE...
Win straight...
What?
For their POKéMON "mastery level," they sure have a misleading name...
I talk to the apparent "dad" first, and he says that his son is stronger than me.
Okay?
The girl says that her brother is even stronger than her "really strong" grandmother.
Got it.
The mother gives me a MACHO BRACE.
The grandmother tells me that her grandson is probably battling the LEAGUE CHAMPION by now.
Guess I'll see him there.
I walk out the door and start to head north.
WHY DO I NOT HAVE THIS
Even though I could probably kick the ROCKS apart, I head back to MAUVILLE because I have nowhere else to go.
I need to find someone willing to part with their ROCK SMASH HM, so I can give it to my POKéMON. Even in JOHTO, it was the same way...
I decide to head to VERDANTURF again when I see a purple building with a circular design, instead of the square one that everything else has.
I walk in, and then look around.
I walk out.
I walk away as if nothing happened.
I decide to head east to go into the house near the POKéMON MART.
This girl says she wants a HARBOR MAIL, but that the only place that HARBOR MAIL is sold is in SLATEPORT.
That's nice.
I continue east to the house over there.
He tells me my POKéMON look pretty strong, and then gives me ROCK SMASH.
I walk out of the house feeling contentedly confused.
I teach it to A.
Now I can smash some ROCKS.
I head north back to them ROCKS.
I find it funny that I have to question myself before using it, but I command A to use it anyways.
Okay then.
If I had kicked it, it would have done the same thing.
I go north now.
There is one way through here, and it is through this desert ahead of me.
Funnily enough, the sand hurts me when I go a little bit into the desert, so I decide to go west instead of north, to see if there was a way around.
I end up running into PICNICKER CAROL. She has a TAILLOW, and I send out Luffy.
I switch out to A.
I end up making it faint with 2 of A's METAL CLAWS, and then she sends out one of bruh's kind, and so I send out Diamond.
Diamond has to use 3 NIGHT SHADES to make the LOMBRE faint.
Yippee...
So I look around.
I decide to go up the stairs in front of me, even if they are entirely unnatural and planted there.
I move Wally to the front of my PARTY because she needs to be trained the most.
After emerging at the top of the stairs, this person decides to challenge me.
HIKER TRENT's GEODUDE faints with two CONFUSIONS, and then he threatens me with another one.
I don't switch out, and I realize that this one will probably sap off half of Wally's HP like the last one.
Oh well.
I use CONFUSION, and it uses MUD SPORT (rant on this later), which I laugh at how pathetic it is.
I use CONFUSION the next turn, and it faints.
Like the last one.
He threatens me with another GEODUDE, which I decide to switch out to Luffy for.
Goodbye, my child, my Wally, and hello, my bad*** Luffy...
AND LUFFY FAINTS AFTER USING A BUBBLE LIKE WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO MEEEEEEE
So I let Diamond finish it off with a FAKE OUT.
I switch out to bruh for the last GEODUDE.
I use BULLET SEED on it, and it faints after two hits.
Okay then.
I gain the POKéMON MONEY from TRENT and start to head back to MAUVILLE to heal my POKéMON.
Rant on Mud Sport:
WHY IS MUD SPORT EVEN LEARNED BY GEODUDE--OR ANY OTHER GROUND-TYPE--THAT JUST MAKES ME CRY THAT IS A WASTE OF A MOVE SLOT WHICH COULD BE USED FOR SOMETHING SO MUCH BETTER
I would understand it if it were learn-able by more Water-Types, but it isn't, and, in the third generation, the only Pokémon that can learn Mud Sport that aren't Ground Type are Relicanth, the Anorith evolutionary family, Mudkip (which evolves into a Ground-Type), and the Zigzagoon evolutionary family.
Double Battles, maybe? But still, there's not a lot of those to be done in-game...
/rant
Anyways, yeah, we got done with painting (finally), and now these should be posted every Day again.
Unless if my parents' Internet doesn't hold through some of these winter snowstorms...
Ugh...
END DAY 14.
