Pokémon Pokemon Sun and Moon General Discussion

My biggest hope, is bringing back the heartgold and soulsilver companion following. I miss that more than anything honestly.

Tapu koko is BA, I love it and so edgy for a fairy type! I like that they are trying to make Fairy a little.... better
Drampa is freaking funny and I like the idea of Normal Dragon, Dunsparce evolution line would be sweet! but how much of a beast is that thing with Hyper beam too!
Togedemaru is gonna be the stupid pika-clone that can't be used ever due to horrendous stats
Cutiefly is not gonna be usable either
Vikavolt line is very cool and fun, despite the weird charjabug (stupid everything really)! I would probably use it in game until I can get Tapukoko for sure
Bruxish is a travesty
I am most eager to see what happens with Rockruff though because I love the design and concept, don't ruin this!!

Hoping Drampa will end up like;

Just by looking at that, I am 99% sure that's fake.

im pretty sure they know its fake

Also i came up with new names for some of the new pokemon

Charjabug=Charjabus
Bruxish=
slutfish
Komala=Comaola
tapu koko=Tapuko
better than the originals imo

That diamond in the N in Pocket Monsters is possibly for Synchro Evolution (for every starter not lucky enough to get a Mega Evolution).

Not sure if anyone saw it, its not new Pokemon or any new news or anything like that. But gameplay footage of Rockruff and Komala. It even shows Komala's signature ability take affect in battle. Watch it if you'd like.

And in the video, we saw a wild Arcanine, something you can never find in the wild. Could this mean that shaking grass is returning? Or maybe that's just a test wild battle. Who knows.

The name of the video's in Japanese, yet they show footage in Chinese.

Untrained individuals may mistake the languages for one another, but while Chinese is mostly huge, giant monsters of an alphabet (in fact, Chinese letters actually make up entire WORDS they're so bulky!), Japan has nice, neat little letters they use for normal, casual conversation called Hiragana, and when they use huge giant Chinese-esque letters, it's called Kanji. When they try writing English words in Japanese, the end result is written in a neat little formula called Katakana, the only one of which I can read.

By the way, on the topic of this video, they call Definite Sleep Comatose here in these United States.

Kukui has his own Rockruff, so does that one kid with the red shoes.

The video chat could be the "welcome to the world of Pokemon" scene, and the Rockruff could be the "this is a Pokemon" part. Just like how Oak had a girl Nidoran (Pikachu in Yellow), 3 years later he had a Marill (why wasn't Elm in there during that part), Birch had an Azurill (although he had a Lotad in Emerald), Rowan had a Buneary, Juniper had a Minccino (who had been given a Shiny Stone at some point during the 2-year gap), and Sycamore had a Skiddo (the inspiration behind my girl Skiddo who had to temporarily fill in for the sixth slot until Brian Griffin the Helioptile came along).

Japanese people filmed this in the Hong Kong Video Game Convention 2016. Explains why there was CHINESE footage in a JAPANESE video.

What is Vikavolt supposed to be? I assume some sort of transportation thing but it doesn't look like anything to me.

Tapu Koko: don't especially love the design, but everything else seems pretty cool.
Drampa: secretly hoping it's the evolved version of dunsparce, looks like it could be
Bruxfish: the ability is pretty cool, might screw up some competitive battles like it should, i actually don't think the design is weird, but the evo would look so cool as a feebas/milotic kinda thing
Togedemaru: cute, i like the typing, but ground types would maul it. let it hold an air balloon in comp., maybe it'll do some decent defending. i think it would be ok as it is, without an evolution, but it could look ok with as well
Cutiefly: cute, looking forward to its evo. nothing else to say really
Charjabug: i think the design is cute, like a little bento box. don't know why there's hate on it, i mean the evolutions of pokemon into dustox/butterfree, you'd think people would get used it things like this now.
Vikavolt: looks cool, but not super cool. i wouldn't put it on my team, but i appreciate the design

ik it's fake, just referring to the art, it looks pretty darn cool

I'm the only one who's bothered by the fact that Rowlet is the only one who has a new move.
It only has a new move as grass types didn't really have a grass type 'bubble' or 'ember' and 'Razor Leaf' and 'Vine Whip' are more powerful so rather than give grass types an unfair advantage in having a more powerful move, a healing move ('absorb') or lowering the power of 'razor leaf' or 'vine whip', they just made a new, more suitable move for Rowlet which other grass types may learn at low levels. Anyway the starters normally get an 'exclusive' move in their later evolutions.

Another new Pokemon. This one can put the Poisoned status even on types that are normally immune.
