Zygarde is a Kalos Legendary not Alolan so therefore I'm not counting it.

Plus if you read the leak properly it say's beside Zygarde, there are 8 legedaries excluding events

We can assume there will be Island Guardians for each of the Islands, which there is 4. In addition, Oricorio also kinda give this assumption more credibility since there is 4 Oricorio, one for each Island. Since there is an Electric Oricorio, and Tapu Koko is Electric, we can predict that the other guardians are Fire, Psychic and Ghost/Fairy, matching up with Oricorio's forms.

This also gives the impression that Pom Pom Oricorio lives on Melemele Island and that Hala may specialise in Electric types.

Nope!

While I was disappointed in X/Y's overall story and length, I enjoyed all of the other features enough that I don't feel like it was a waste or anything.

I'm definitely going to buy them. The games seem like they will be different, in a fairly positive way. I do still have my reservations about the game, but until it releases in Japan and the US I won't know for sure. I suppose one of the perks of getting it a week later is knowing how people react to it. I didn't have that with XY.

Sinnoh also had Regigigas. Both G4 and G5 had 9 non-event legendaries, so I can believe 8.
