Yeah I'm the same, I like Moon better in every regard except the Vulpix and Ninetails... but I will trade with my siblings who are both getting sun ;) Really all the Alolan forms should be available in both games imo
 
I still can't believe that they aren't releasing such a big title for the 3DS on the same day globally..
 
Probably the last big piece of news until the 18th, unless we get a video in the upcoming days which would most likely just be a rehash of the CoroCoro leaks but with one or two minor new things.

"The first images from CoroCoro have leaked and have revealed the latest news on Sun & Moon. As always, do note that translations are preliminary while we work on them. First it reveals two new Ultra Beasts and one mysterious black Pok?mon which it says is a big mystery, and asks what it has to do with Solgaleo & Lunala.

It reveals the origami UB and bizarre pillar-hands UB from the data mine leaks. It is implied the origami one is Sun exclusive and the pillar-hands one is Moon exclusive. There is another new legendary that is implied to be the missing Pok?mon in the trio with Solgaleo and Lunala.

So sick of all the spoilery videos recommended to me on Youtube. I thought it was bad that the first day Kirby: Planet Robobot came out, spoilers were recommended to me. But now Youtube recommends spoilers before a game is even out? Goodness.

Luckily I haven't been spoiled by anything myself yet; except for the names of the data mined Pok?mon and any other information regarding them. I've also heard some of the new music tracks, but aside from that I've been pretty good at avoiding plot spoilers.

Here's hoping I'll be able to get it when it releases next week. If I don't I probably won't be able to at all seeing as the entire Internet will be exploding in every direction with spoilers and the like.

Kaphotics and SciresM are credible data-miners amongst the Pok?mon community (r/Pok?mon and Smogon alike) and are a source for most of my information. If you decide to go through their tweets outside of the specific tweets I linked you, do note that you are putting yourself at risk for spoilers regarding the game map, Pok?mon stats, and other things.

Pok?mon that ARE Shiny Locked - Solgaleo, Lunala, and the Island Guardians are all shiny locked. Look forward to their Japan exclusive events in the upcoming years, in which case just inject with PKHeX.

Pok?mon that AREN'T Shiny Locked - Rowlet, Litten and Popplio. HOWEVER, the time in between soft resets is incredibly long at 2 minutes and 30 seconds. You will see if it is shiny on the naming screen.

Yes, they are catchable AND usable just as you would a normal Pok?mon... but require a very specific ball type to catch. Yes, they are shiny locked. (14 Pok?mon in total suffering from shiny lock, not counting events. Why does Game Freak and Nintendo hate us?)

Now it only requires the completion of the Alolan Pok?Dex as opposed to requiring the entire National Pok?Dex to be filled in. It is now received from the Game Director instead of the Professor. Masuda Method - There is currently no reason to believe that it has been removed. From what I hear you can bike in circles around the Festival Plaza; similar to biking around the Prism Tower in XY.

A new mechanic involves wild Pok?mon calling for allies. Up to two allies can be summoned at a time, and one must be killed in order for another to be called. Pok?mon are more likely to summon allies when their HP is low. With this feature, it is possible to chain for Pok?mon. Summoned Pok?mon have a higher chance of having their HA or being shiny as the chain goes up.

A new item called the Adrenaline Orb is implemented into the game. Clearing the second island will allow you to buy them from the Pok?Mart at 300 a piece. It has two uses. When held by a Pok?mon, it increases their Speed stat each time the opposing Pok?mon's Intimidate is triggered. When used from the bag during a battle, it makes wild Pok?mon more likely to call for help.
Watch on this page to avoid the suggested videos on YouTube which may contain spoilers, and close/pause the video as soon as the big star pops up that centers on the Mew. That is the extent of the animation, watching any further will end the video and show possible spoilers.

This means you can boost all of a Pok?mon's stats to perfect levels, but they would still maintain their original IVs. Needless to say, this means the Pok?mon will keep their current Hidden Power type even if you were to make them stronger with Bottle Caps. RUMOR Breeding Male and Genderless Pok?mon - Both will now pass down their ball type when bred with a Ditto. This means that if I were to breed a Bronzor (genderless) in SM, the Dusk Ball it is contained in would now pass down to the offspring instead of the offspring appearing in a standard Pok? Ball like it does in XY and ORAS. This only applies if they are bred with a Ditto, the female breeding parent still takes priority if they are bred with anything else. No source so I am labeling it as a rumor for now.

RUMOR Apricorn Balls Make a Return - Ball types that were only available in HGSS might be making a return. If so, this means all Pok?mon obtainable in Sun and Moon can be caught in them and would be the first time a Pok?mon can have both an Apricorn Ball and HA at the same time. No source so this one is also being labeled as a rumor.

How do we get the bottle caps?

If Bottle Caps only boost the IVs, then does a Bottle Cap'd pokemon pass down the boosted or original IVs?

Does anyone know if the animation from clearing all master ranks in ORAS is still in-game?

Also thank god that genderless and male pokemon if bred with a Ditto can pass down the balls. I hope this stays true. ****in' stupid decision for them not to change it if it's not.

From what it seems, the National Pok?Dex isn't even in the game. ._. https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/5cdv6z/so_apparently_there_is_no_national_pokedex_in_sun/
Instead, it looks like a new feature is being added to Pok?Bank that will allow you to view the National Dex within the application. http://www.pokemon-sunmoon.com/en-au/pokemon-bank/ Near the bottom. Hopefully Sun and Moon is patched to have the National Dex in it as well, when Pok?Bank is updated in January.

Smogon reports that a Pok?mon bred with stats boosted through Bottle Caps will still pass down their original IVs. I wouldn't know where to look for the other two things since the only other places I haven't checked are places that contain story spoilers.

Also, I am glad someone else cares about what type of ball their Pok?mon is bred in. The entire reason why I bothered catching genderless Pok?mon in XY not too long ago was because I was hoping Game Freak did something like this for SM. If it is true, I can finally breed for my Dusk Ball shiny Golurk and Bronzong, as well as my Premier Ball shiny Metagross.
