Pokémon Pokemon Sun and Moon General Discussion

Really, if you are hacking, don't make it obvious and easily traceable, for god sake. Pirating is hilarious because Nintendo can just check who is online so if it is before the release and people are online, it's stupid easy for them to determine. You'd have to have the wifi switch off to be sure.

I'm pretty sure they can find out via Youtube if they did that...

You can actually find one on your way to Mallow's trial. It's hidden behind the fossil guy's RV.

I just need a fire stone so I can evolve my Growlithe!

I checked behind there and I got a water stone? Does it change depending on the version or something???

OK, unpopular opinion time...

I know most people are happy that this game isn't a cakewalk (and I admit X was WAY too easy), but for someone that just likes to play, it's a bit frustrating how difficult I'm finding Moon.

I don't want to have to endlessly grind to get my Pokemon up like 7-10 levels above the Pokemon I'm facing to stand a chance, or put Pokemon on my team that I don't actually want because they're strong against whatever I'm fighting. I want to be able to just "play", and not overly strategize.

Again, I know most people are glad you can't beat it with your eyes closed but it's sort of making me not want to play, it's not relaxing or even that fun... ;^;

Yeah, I was struggling for quite a bit last night. I like that it's more challenging, but I don't like that it's too challenging. While I'm progressing through the story at a normal pace again, I'm still barely doing so, unlike before where the story had completely stopped for me because I kept getting my butt kicked.

Also, this game only increased my hate for Diglett and Dugtrio. I always disliked them, just because I thought they were ugly. Now, I find them even uglier, because of that dumb hair. ANNNND they always have some ability that pisses me off. Diglett and Dugtrio are the bane of my existence, and their Alolan counterparts have only reminded me of how much I despise them. Same thing for Geodude. Graveler and Golem are cool, but their Alolan forms are ugly as hell imo... Well, haven't seen Alolan Golem, but I bet it's as bad as its prior evolutions...

I know that this is a really small addition, but I've noticed that the NPC's Pokemon will come out of different types of Pokeballs like a Luxury Ball or an Ultra Ball. I know it doesn't affect the gameplay, but it's a nice touch. Good job Nintendo.

I also noticed this, it's fantastic!

Ninty added many features to the game that make it slightly more realistic, much of them being self awareness, and some common sense lol.

LMAO GLADION IS SO EDGY

"All those days I spent alone and lonely, were for nothing?"

I now have half of my dream team! Found a fire stone to evolve my Growlithe and my Rockruff finally evolved! I just need to figure out who to fill the rest of my party with.

On a side note, I've noticed this game cheats really really bad. Like, so bad it doesn't even make sense. At one point I paralyzed my opponent, but they would still move first every round. Um... paralysis makes you move LAST. Then some random trainer used a Full Restore on a level 20. Like uh not even the big bosses use those yet?? I don't know, it's fun at first but these unfair things really just make me not want to play anymore.

Apparently so, I found a thunderstone. Maybe it changes based on starter?

Did you know Paralysis (Along with Burn and Confusion) have been nerfed? Yes. Burn only does less damage, Confusion has a less chance of yourself hitting, and Paralysis got the lowing speed cut. And were you facing someone that gives you big money after you beat them? Must be why. (Rich Kid and his Zigzagoon...)

Really? That doesn't make sense then, seeing as it had an ally that was also faster than mine that slowed down once I paralyzed it. I'm guessing Poison got a buff then since it seems to do a lot more than 4 damage now.

I haven't heard anywhere that poisoning got a buff, maybe it stayed the same?

I can't believe I almost lost against Guzma... and UGH I swear the game is rigged so Hau gets the flinch hax on you When i battled he he just spammed bite with his Torracat and I couldn't do anything

Lol woops so that egg hatched into
eevee, and it immediately levelled up while I was in the jungle and evolved into leafeon while I was away from the 3DS. Firstly I guess that answers how you get leafeon in this game. Secondly that ruins my chance of getting any number of better eeveelutions. I've been farming the grass for another eevee for nearly 1 hour and a half and it isn't showing, figures it isn't that common.

The battle with Olivia was surprisingly easy. All I needed was my Lycanroc and 3 Bulk Ups to OHKO her Lycanroc with Brick Break.

My easy battle wasn't a trainer. But it was Totem Salazzle. Mudbray OHKO it without being damaged.

Is rockruff in the early or late game? I'm trying to avoid cheating by looking it up on the internet. I don't have the dex entry yet but I'm in the early level 30s now.

Its available to be captured after you beat the kahuna in Melemele island. And its in Ten Carat Hill, you need Tauros Charge for that. And you get it for beating the mentioned kahuna.

Wow that's very early on. Luckily I can just fly back to that island...

I see that a lot of people are having trouble beating the game. I'm not really having trouble at all, in fact I think it's a relaxing change in difficulty from Heartgold, which I just replayed. Maybe it's just because I'm used to grinding on HG/SS, but I think it's a whole lot easier. I never played ORAS, so I wouldn't know if it's harder/easier than that, and I played XY so long ago that I really don't notice a change. Although, I enjoy that the game is a tiny bit of a challenge, totem lurantis was a bit of a struggle for my team.
