Heartgold and soulsilver have a very sharp difficulty spike because opponents level so quickly. I had to grind considerably several times in that game to get my team up to date.
 
My dream team is finally complete! I just got Comfey at Lv. 18. But its ability isn't what I wanted. (I wanted Triage) Is Flower Veil ok? I'm not looking for Comfey again.

Yeah from Bugsy to Morty was a real step-up and then to Clair was just insane. I felt like the game didn't sufficiently prepare me for the elite four and I really.... messed up so bad. Failed about 200 times before I FINALLY won. The dragon types were very hard to counter as well, as dragons were hard to come by and ice types are just so frail and fragile. But, it is my favorite game and it always will be.

Maybe it's just because I'm used to grinding on HG/SS, but I think it's a whole lot easier. I never played ORAS, so I wouldn't know if it's harder/easier than that, and I played XY so long ago that I really don't notice a change. Although, I enjoy that the game is a tiny bit of a challenge, totem lurantis was a bit of a struggle for my team.

I last replayed HG as well, and I agree that HGSS was really challenging. I had to spend lots of time evenly leveling everyone so they would stand a chance in gyms to come. In the end I actually had to hack for potions and the like just to beat the Elite Four (even though I really didn't want to). It's weird because when I was younger I used to just use my starter and keep others for party space and I never had a problem. o_o I feel like BW had the sharpest level increase. After Elite Four I was barely level 50 and suddenly I was facing level 65s and was just so outmatched. Leveling was easy though thanks to Audino and even EXP Share distribution.

And I wish I could keep 7 Pok?mon sorry mudsale but your going to the pc once I have both I'm missing

Woww this game really got more difficult once late lv 20 opponents rolled by. Everything I'm facing is at max evolution and my unevolved team is barely chipping these things. Had to use 4 revives to get past a gyarados 8 levels lower than me :/

Lol. Everyone is having a hard time with this game, and i'm like. "This game is soo not a problem." The only problem I faced was Llima. I'm not even using EXP Share!
 
There was a bit of a sharp level increase when I fought Hau when we got to the third island. It wasn't a fun battle. :/
 
All right... I'm done sulking XD Time to beef up my team and keep moving forward!
 
I cant find the Pichu. I keep encountering ratatas. I don't want ur weed! jk (lol) anyway I'm doing this at night. does it have to be day?

You can definitely find them at night! I have Moon and I've been playing all day (which is night in Moon lol)... I couldn't STOP finding them! They were especially plentiful in the tall grass in Hau'oli City.
