Police Station: How long and what design?

So I recently did a restart, and so far I'm really happy with my town set up. I'm waiting patiently for a villager to request the Police Station.

On my last village, I played once a day for five months to no avail! No one requested the station, unfortunately. I'm hoping I have better luck this time around.

So guys, my question to you: how long did it take for a villager to request the police station? Which design did you end up getting?

It took me a super long time to unlock my police station as well. I hope you obtain yours pretty quickly! I ended up choosing Booker, mainly because he is so nervous and adorable, and also because I felt the exterior of that police station would look better in my town.

Well considering that PWPs are completely random unless you walk around with your inventory full of flowers waiting for a ping they may never suggest it! There isn't a time frame for specific PWPs that I'm aware of, it's all chance and playing the game enough to actually get pinged.

I think it took me a good 6 months to get it though. About 250 hours of game time.

It's great to hear that you guys (including the above poster) weren't able to unlock this PWP until later on in the game. It makes me feel better.

For a long time, I attempted conversing with the other villagers with completely full pockets. To no avail, unfortunately.
