I'm on Day Breaks Part 4, however I just can't seem to beat it. As some of you know I'm a character and I haven't let anyone die yet.

It seems my biggest problem is the Fire Mage. I've tried to get to him with Murrium however it hasn't been working.

Anything that could help?

Boy... I haven't played PoR in a while... but... is it the chapter where you're facing Oliver (dreaded son of a gun, that man... ugh)?

Yup.

Okay, you have to find a bomb (preferably an atomic bomb) and then use the atomic bomb on the Fire Mage. Good luck, atomic bombs are very rare ;).

I would help you but I don't remember where you are. Could you describe the situation in depth?
It's Chapter 16, which is where you are in the woods. This chapter is the extremely annoying four-part chapter where after every part you get to ask for 2 reinforcements. Basically you're searching for Oliver, the greedy count of Begnion. So I'm on the last part and there's the fire mage who has almost unlimited range and basically 1-KO spell.

How do I get past this part, without any characters dieing, or minimum amount of characters dieing?

I did a bit of research on it and what you should do is just stay out of it's range. Make your way around it. If you have a unit with great defense, health, and resistance to magic have him take away the limited ammo when that unit is safe from other enemies. After a while powerful reinforcements will appear that should make the battle easier.

Regardless of the circumstances, I usually don't charge the enemy from all sides. In RD Haar, my level 18 Dragon Lord, can be sent behind enemy lines to have every enemy around him attack him and die while he remains with perfect health. I then pick off the enemy on the front lines with a variety of attacks.
