once i went to yosemite with a couple friends and one of those friends would give me porridge everyday because she knew i didn't like it. now i like it.

Oatmeal = Porridge, over in the UK, Ireland e.t.c, we call it porridge.

Americans call it Oatmeal from what I've seen.

oh porridge=oatmeal? i didnt know, i thought they were different somehow. porridge always looked like more finely ground oatmeal in movies i guess

I do like poridge (or oatmeal) but it's something i don't eat that often. Depends when i feel like having it or not.
