Possible Pocket Camp Integration Discussion

I honestly had an idea for a vendor who would eventually come to your town after you've been playing for a bit and he would basically sell you items from Pocket Camp, I picture he'd work a lil bit like Gracie being his items are different for each season but it's normally quite a few items and he sells whole sets from a van/camper he drives and after the first time he comes he might come like, 2 or 3 times a month on random days? minus holidays. Maybe to try to connect the games he would ask for a code or something from your PC account and linking that will give you something exclusive or a random item for free.
I don't know if his items would be reorderable or it would be like Gracie were they're only available from him for those months

A vendor sounds like a good idea. Maybe like, every Monday, to pick a random day, They would come around and give you a list of the items to buy from them. I would really really love to see those pretty Cherry blosson trees on Switch ❤

I don't really care if we can get items from pocket camp or not, my only thing is, the amount of new items added to the game that we can get using normal bells and not meow coupons or transfering from pocket camp, will have to totally dwarf the number of items available from pocket camp for me to accept it.

Pocket camp is trash and I will be happiest if the items are in the normally tom nook items pool, but related to the season you would get them in as spotlight items once a week. I've spent real life money on pocket camp and, for the safety of the switch game, they need to ignore pocket camp. People who spent money on pocket camp only have a guarantee of knowing items acquired will work in POCKET CAMP, no one officially promised us we'd get those items in the main game.

I really hope it?ll be well made if it happens. I?m not really thrilled about it as I think Pocket camp is just too boring right now and I don?t want to have a disadvantage towards people who?ve somehow been playing it since the beginning and are still playing it.
So idk maybe some cute exclusive items but nothing that could change one?s game completely.
It would be cool if it was something like the gifts from Nintendo like the Palm tree light and all of those.

I agree Nintendo shouldn't incorporate item transfer between PC and the new game. As already said this would turn the Switch game also into Pay-To-Win. Another reason I don't like character/item transfers is the fact that it would ruin the feeling of the first few weeks in a new AC game. When you start out you have nothing and slowly build up your museum/house etc. and unlock new features like the island along the way. If you would start with your PC character or his inventory you would have a bunch of bells and items from the getgo it would result in skipping this entire process.

I think one or a few items for connecting (maybe given over time) would be nice. Maybe they could also find different ways to reward connecting, like giving access to exclusive features without turning it Pay-To-Win. I'm not sure if this is a good idea, but they could give people who connect the games a camper to furnish or something similar. The ability to unlock the camper could be given after a certain time has passed in the Switch game. I would personally prefer this over character/item transfer.

I stoped playing PC for awhile and then got back into it and then stopped. So i really hope nothing is connected. And besides i want to start from scratch. I don’t want to connect unless its getting things i got with the tickets but im sure that'll all be in the switch that i can earn. I never spent money on pc

No idea if they will do that, but I hope not. :p

Never cared for Pocket Camp and also never played it, so I wouldn't like this idea that much.
It's just easier if they put all the new items that got released in PC into the Switch game and
let the player buy them with normal bells in Timmy and Tommy's shop (or in any other NPC's
shop).

I think they will, considering I've been hearing stuff that the app will be connected to the switch game a few months back. Personally, I'm not a fan because I fear that it will take some fun away from the game for those who never played Pocket Camp.

I don?t think that they would make it as direct as importing your whole character from PC.

they could probably give the player a free item in one or both games if they're connected to each other. I don't see much more happening, though.

With Pocket Camp being shut down in Belgium and possibly other locations if similar laws are passed, I think any sort of major integration is becoming even more unlikely.

That's a really good point.

Not that I think they'd completely toss out any planned integration just because of one or two minor countries, but would they come up with any alternative for those countries? Maybe they could offer any exclusive items through My Nintendo rewards instead.

What if when one of the villagers youve befriended in PC moves into your town they say something like “weird, I went camping once and met someone that reminded me of you”. That would be cute.

Why is the game shut down in other countries?

It's only being shut down in Belgium right now, and that's due to a law involving loot boxes. Microtransactions are fine, but random games of chance involving real money (Leaf Tickets costing real money in this case) are not. My statement was that if other countries pass similar laws (and many are trying), we'll see more of this.

Man, that would totally cause everyone at the Mobile division to rework their titles...

Perhaps if they wanted to work something with Pocket Camp into the Switch game, they could do so later on via a patch or something?
