I just booted up Animal Crossing: City Folk after about 5 years… it started up, I chose my name, Rover remarked how long it’s been, etc… but now my town is eternally loading and I don’t know what to do! It says "Preparing save data. Please do not touch the Power Button or RESET." and I am unable to go back to the system menu (home button does nothing). It’s been spinning for about 10 minutes now… should I power off and on again & hope for the best, or wait it out? I’d really rather not lose my town.

Heh heh… so little update… I ejected the Animal Crossing disc… but Rover was still on the screen, in the "Preparing saved data." loop?? Even though the disc was out?! I even put it back in again, and the disc went in, but it didn’t spin or anything. So finally I turned the Wii off and on again, and it works just fine now! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I wish I knew why it did that though. Oh well… :] Thank you for… uh, reading I guess!
