I received a warning. I understand why I received this warning; for making a comment that is short and simple. Just one question, how do I like a post? When I attempt to on the like button just turns into a dislike.

You're doing it the correct way - by clicking the like button. What you're seeing as a "dislike" is just the normal icon that shows up after you click the Like button. After you "like" something, the thumbs up that was there previously becomes a thumbs down which I assume is to indicate that you've already liked that particular post. There actually isn't an option to dislike something or downvote it, so no need to worry when you see the thumb turn upside down! You can also see all of the posts you've liked by viewing your profile and clicking on the "Post Thanks/Like" tab.

You're quite welcome.

And that's correct - a warning is more or less just a rule reminder and doesn't mean much in the grand scheme. The only time someone's in any danger of a suspension is when they've had multiple warnings or infractions for the same behaviors, and they're always made well aware that a ban is the next step. One warning is no big deal at all.
