Quick question about My Nintendo rewards

Hey hey!

I have a rather dumb question about the rewards from My Nintendo..

It's my friend's birthday tomorrow and I've been saving up to give her the Zelda Picross. My question is,

If I exchange the point via my MyNintendo account, will I be able to then give her the download code and let her redeem the code on her 3ds? Or it is strictly bound to my NNID and no other could redeem it?

You should be safe to give them the code. I've never heard of a strictly bound redemption code for a specific console/handheld. Club Nintendo allowed rewards to be redeemed on other Nintendo consoles so I don't see why this wouldn't. Be aware though that if you redeem this for your friend you will not be able to get it for yourself since it says it can only be redeemed once.

I have two My Nintendo accounts and I could redeem two copies of the My Nintendo Picross - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess twice if I really felt like doing so.

I was able to acquire two copies of Flipnote Studio 3D as well.

Yes, it's free but before it's not given to everyone, only to those who belong to Gold/Platinum.

And regarding topic, yes once you redeemed the download code, you can use it with any unit, not-bound just to your units using your NNID. And belated happy birthday to your friend! Hope he/she would enjoy the game!
