No, Sages are not with the staff, they're like an "Advanced Member" group. They're, in ways, the ones that have done things here that are above and beyond. Or, they've been great member. The rank is just an adward for that.

Sages are more like honorary members, but they get benefits. More often than normal members; you could say it's a perk for being such a great member. We are also thinking of sprucing up the Sage program, so keep a lookout for that.

And no, Sages are not part of the staff, but they are closer to it than normal members.
