Ranking the Events from 2020 from BEST to WORST

  1. Halloween- The most to do with the most prep which added the most to do
  2. Turkey Day- Really fun and interactive though honestly a bit annoying with the fishing rates
  3. Wedding Season- Really fun and replayable for the first 2 weeks, after that I just stopped doing it
  4. Toy Day- Cute but super-fast, not that fun
  5. Bunny Day- Despite being too long of a season, still a nice event. I just wish that maybe the eggs were only that day or the day before day of and the day after, making it a real egg hunt!
  6. May Day- Quick little mini-game, great for a day event
  7. Fireworks Festival- Couldn't draw me back in, bored out of my mind really. For the big summer event, it was a bit bland
  8. New Years- One-time cute thing, really only the count down was worth it but it was worth a viewing
  9. Earth Day- Is this even an event? Kinda just felt like the introduction to Lief
  10. Stamp Rally- It existed? That's all I really felt about it, didn't do much for me nor would I call it an event. It should just be normal honestly, making a cute reason to see your villagers there, getting stamps.

Wait, really!? I had no idea... Is it hinted at in the dialogue at all?

IIRC, one of the villagers in your house will say something like you should give the cupcakes to the other villagers (heavily paraphrased), so it is mentioned but very briefly. I gave out cupcakes to the rest and got the whole set of furniture in return.

I'm debating making a new character just to have a birthday right away and then get rid of them... I didn't pick up on this at all lol Do you have to be at a certain progress in the game to get a birthday party? (sorry for hijacking the thread this is very upsetting to me)

Sorry, no idea about what are the requirements for a birthday party to trigger. ^^

I’m pretty sure you have to have Resident Services built and maybe KK Slider has to have come to your island after it reaches 5 stars. Then in order for villagers to give you birthday items their friendship level with you has to be high enough, otherwise they won’t give them.

The best seasonal event for me is Halloween. I had fun with the new reactions! :)

Like everyone else, I am not a big fan of Bunny Day for the same reasons stated in this thread.

I'm just here to see everyone relive their bunny day PTSD 🐇🐇

oooh fun!! I can't include toy day because I haven't played it yet but will edit as soon as I have

11. Valentines Day. It was pretty small, all you got were mail gifts. I wish there would have been more variety in them too, it was just different color variations of the same two things. I feel like Nintendo could add a lot to this event, maybe a special npc?
10. Stamp Rally. Fun idea and loved the rewards, but just felt like Nintendo could have hidden the stamp booths a little better to add some challenge to it.
9. Birthday. I kinda wish you would get better gifts than just cupcakes, and that there could be a little more to it.
8. Halloween. I know everyone loves this but I just don't get why. It only took like 30 minutes and wasn't even that fun. Except for the spooky carriage, I didn't really like the rewards either.
7. New Years. Super adorable, loved the fireworks and the countdown, but again, there could have been more to it.
6. Turkey Day. I thought it was fun loved the animations when Franklin cooked the food, but catching the barred knifejaw was too hard and took way too long. I wish they didn't have to use such a rare fish here.
5. Wedding Season. I thought it was so fun decorating all the rooms and getting the rewards. I got bored of it after 2 weeks though.
4. Bunny Day. I know y'all hate this one but I thought it was so much fun! I loved how many diys there were, and the challenge of making all of them was really fun. Sure, Zipper was a tiny bit creepy, but let's be honest, people dressed up in Easter bunny suits in real life are just as weird.
3. May Day. I love puzzles, so this one was super fun for me! I loved the challenge of it. Even if the rewards were disappointing, I reallly appreciated this event nevertheless.
2. Fireworks. I thought this one was so cute! I loved the outfits in Able Sisters and the boppers from Isabelle. The custom design fireworks sequences were great too. And the new food items from Redd's Raffle were so fun!! I loved having this to look forward to every Sunday.
1. Festivale. This event was perfect! I loved the new reactions and collecting the colored feathers. The Festivale float is one of my favorite items in the whole game!
