I actually have quite a few rare games, some of them I got at secondhand game stores, some I've had since I was a kid, and others I bought on release. The only one I bought off of ebay for way too much money was Dragon Quest V.

Persona Q2 New Cinema Labyrinth (physical copy with case is roughly $80-90, found it for like 30 bucks at a gamestop)

Yo-Kai Watch 3 (physical copy is $90-110, bought new on release)

Dragon Quest VIII 3DS ($65-70, got it new from Best Buy)

Shantae and The Pirates Curse (65-75, ordered a copy on Mercari for 40 bucks)

Dragon Quest IV Chapters of The Chosen DS ($80-90, got it for my 9th birthday as a kid)

Dragon Quest V DS ($80-90)

Some other games I've always wanted to own but probably never will include Earthbound on the SNES, Dragon Quest VI on the Ds. Chibi-robo on gamecube, Fire Emblem Path of Raidance on gamecube, and Shantae and the 7 Sirens on Switch are all ridiculously expensive to own though, so I'll probably wait for virtual console releases,

Currently the rarest game I own is Last Window: The Secrets of Cape West.

I got it for probably $40-ish USD if I recall correctly on Ebay several years ago but now it’s jumped to $100~ USD and is super hard to find.

Reason for this is because it’s part of a now defund series that was discontinued due to the original developers being bankrupt all the way back in 2010. It is currently now owned by Nintendo is its likely we’ll never see a sequel of the game ever.

Nothing at the moment I think, but I got like a complete copy of Pokémon Green back in the days for like 5 bucks. Case, map, manual, game even the plastic mold the game was in.

Persona Q2 was that much? Are you sure it's rare because l got the game in the year it was released and it was easy to find. And still l see it in stores.

I own many games but l don't know which ones are rare. But does Pokèmon Gold and Silver(gameboy copy) count? I also have Black n White.

Take one look at ebay, and you can only order the digital version from stores.

I know it had a bigger print run in PAL regions, but like most games late in the 3DS' life its print run was very limited.

I have a few games that have gone up in value over the years.

Pokemon Heartgold (complete in box): worth $110

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (complete in box with manual and Nintendo Power pamphlet): worth $95

Pokemon Platinum (complete in box): worth
$97

I'm not sure if some of these prices or games are up-to-date or on point but oh well

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (technically my sister but whatever) - $189

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - $95

2 copies of Pokemon Heartgold (complete box) - Separate, about $110. Together = about $220

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (once again it's technically my sister's copy) - About $68

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Limited Edition bundle - $160

i'm not sure on it's price or if it's still rare but, Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition

The rarest game I own isn't necessarily a game, but the Gamecube Game Boy Player Start-up Disc. Its listed price on eBay is ~$100-150 and it's difficult to find an English copy (Japanese copies are a little more common).

I own a sealed box copy of Earthbound, as well as a copy of Little Samson.

Do you mean digital only on Ebay? Because l took a look and l saw a lot of game cards version. I guess it depends where you live then(maybe)

I have that version of SS and l didn't know it's rare!

The two rarest games I own are EarthBound for the SNES and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.

My older brother got EarthBound and played it in his teen years, and I used to enjoy watching him play this weird, quirky game. Eventually he sort of moved on from older games, so I inherited it and played it. Unfortunately, in dumb kid fashion, I killed the scents of the scratch & sniff pages of the strategy guide that came packed in the EarthBound box, but I don't really intend to sell it so I guess it doesn't matter too much. I love the Mother/EarthBound series and introduced some friends to it, who also love the series, so I'm glad my brother just happened to be interested in getting the game back then.

As for Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, a content creator I followed was playing it on their Saturday stream years ago, around 2011 or 2012, and I fell in love with the characters, setting, and plot of the game so I bought my own copy. Fortunately this was before the prices rose to what they are today. That stream was my introduction to the series; Path of Radiance became and still is my favorite video game in general and Fire Emblem itself became one of my favorite series.

I also have Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, which isn't as rare and as high priced as Path of Radiance, but is still sought after. Then there's Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, which don't seem like they'd be too rare compared to the others, but their prices seem to have gone up in recent years.

There might be some other ones, but none that come to mind at the moment, so I'd assume that's probably it.

okay then. Digital copy is on eshop right now for me.
But anyways all the the ones l saw were in English on Ebay. But like l said, people see different selling stuff online as others don't online. Sometimes l change my region on amazon to see different sellings that l don't see in NA. xD

But that's interesting

Final Fantasy X-X2 (Asia, which has everything on the cart) for Switch is probably my most valuable

Also have a few Limited Run games from various publishers

Honestly not sure...probably my Lunar: Eternal Blue and Lunar: Silver Story Star for PS1...and I don't think those are that rare.

The two rarest games I own I ended up buying this year actually. rip wallet. I bought both for more or less the going price in my country at least. They were:

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance $199 Canadian. This was a used copy but the disc was in pristine condition and it also came with the box. No manual though. GameCube stuff sure is getting expensive...

Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn $106 Canadian. Not quite as rare as it's predecessor above but still pricey enough for a Wii game. This one was brand new and still sealed.

Oh, I also own a copy of Pokemon Crystal. While not as sought after now that we have it on 3DS VC it was one of the most sought after Pokemon games for quite some time. It's still woth maybe $40ish dollars here today.

I own an unopened copy of Fire Emblem Sacred Stones and Fire Emblem Path of Radiance so probably those two?

I forgot I even owned those games until I found them one day in my game cabinet, guess I just never got around to playing them. I don’t even remember my parents getting them for me.

unopened Sacred Stones goes for like $250? Idk if that’s accurate.

I have no idea what unopened Path of Radiance goes for but probably a bit.

I also own Radiant Dawn and Soul Silver but I opened both of those so they are probably not worth as much.

Forgot that l own Mother 3 which was only release in Japan l think that's what my brother said. don't remember
