One thought I had for 8 was

Plasma Kirby. Thor is the god of thunder and lightning. And as this description of a Smash trophy of Plasma Kirby supposedly says: "What does the aurora borealis have in common with lightning? Plasma! And what does Plasma Kirby have in common with them? Hrm. Maybe that was too easy..." I searched a bit on the forums for things related to Plasma Kirby, but I didn't find the reindeer

Got #7, but 8 eludes me. I have similar thoughts as previous posters r.e., the Nintendo character, but I'm not sure how to narrow down the search results. This is the first time I've shown up to seek reindeer and found that nobody else had solved one of the clues yet! I rely on community hints to acquire most of these

I know the game title. Still can't find it. Might be one of those like shipping vs ship, where it takes forever to find depending on how exactly it's searched.
