"Not much. School, I guess," I reply to some random kid who must be going to the same school as me. I twirl a small lightning bolt between my fingers.

So, I came and unpacked once I got into my apartment in Ace. I gotta say, all these people around me are just as tough as I am. My new school, Ishiyama, was my safehaven. I ran away from the surface because I felt like I wasn't wanted, wasn't needed, was just a toy. Well, here, there are other people like me. Maybe I will become more accepted?

I could tell how he would be a threat to me. I figured that I should try to figure out how to get on his good side. "Hey...I can predict your future."

When I finished unpacking, I headed to the bus stop. It was down the street from my apartment. I noticed a lot of other tough looking kids in there. Heh.

I looked at the schedule and noticed that the bus wouldn't be here for another 15 minutes, so I just decided to take in the scenery. Tall trees, bushes, enourmous buildings, high schoolers of all types, in this land. Pretty dang awesome.

Name: Aela Farnsworth
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Looks: She has almost black hair, big golden brown eyes and quite a petite frame. She's part mermaid, so she also has a little bit of scaling on her face and on her body, which she hopes won't grow further as she doesn't like it for the weird looks and whispers she gets. Her arms and upper body are quite toned and a little bit muscle-y as she swims a lot. Yes, she does have legs.
Type: Psychic, Kueli
Personality: Sassy. Very sassy. But no (yes), while she seems to have a tough exterior she's actually quite a softie. She's always willing to help anyone who needs it, doing whatever she thinks is right on behalf of that person. She only ever wants what's best for those around her, but if you're being an idiot, she'll tell you. She's stern, stubborn and sometimes downright mean, but only when she feels it necessarily. But if you get to know her, you'll find she's sweet, loving, friendly and generally a big softie. She tends to keep to herself.
Special Powers: Sometimes phases into moments she's can't control (yet?) where she can see into the future, but only of what will happen in say, the next five minutes. This causes excruciating pain in her head.
School: Maki High
Extra Info: Gurl got mad senses, yo. She can of course, control water, as she is a Kueli. She can also sense when someone's near and what someone is feeling, due to her psychic ability. She can't mind read and she can't control things (yet...). She's part mermaid due to her mother. Don't ask me how her parents did the do, not even she knows. She's the only "mermaid" to date that can breath both under and over water.
As she is part mermaid and the city is situated under ground, where it's hot and there's lack of h20 in the air, she does have to have a water spray bottle with her at all times so her scales don't become shrivelled, dry and painful. Occasionally she has moments where she can't breath because of the lack of h20, so she has to be hooked up to a special portable machine that helps with pumping water into her system. She also has to use this device when she's sleeping, so she doesn't suffocate in her sleep.

I wake up early (as I always do,) and get ready for Junior High. I nessarily didn't care if I made any friends, just as long as school ended early, so I can come home and relax. A fresh gust of wind blew though the window, making me inhale the fresh air. Time to go..I trotted out the door with a small sense of uregecy, because I just might miss the bus.

I couldn't explain how I felt. It's just, the beautiful scenery, but more than that; it's the people around me. Absoutely amazing. They're all "freaks" as they would say in the Overworld. But, they don't mind seeing fangs. They don't run and cower. They just treat you-well, like people normally do on earth. Cause that's what we are-regular people, "special".

I wake up at 6am feeling groggy, must've put my water level on too high on the machine. The meter says the h20 in the air is quite high today, so I should be okay with just my spray bottle. I had my morning swim and got dressed, and got breakfast on the way to the bus stop. I took the first bite, this sandwich is so good. I'm actually quite looking forward to my first day of high school, since I've been home schooled most my life. I'm not enjoying standing here at the moment, though. All the looks I'm getting is dampening my mood. Oh well, I have my sandwich. An amazing sandwich at that. What is this sauce they put on here?

I see a girl eating a sandwich on her way to the bus stop. Shimmery aqua scales faintly line patches of her skin like tattoos. I thought It was really cool. She looks like one of those merpeople from the movies I used to watch. My legs pick up speed, and I tap her in the shoulder as she walked by. "Hi! I'm Kim!" I hold out my hand to shake hers. "Your tattoos are really cool!"

I feel one particular girl staring at me as I walk by, and then she suddenly bounds up to me and jabs me in the shoulder. Ouch, right on a sore dried out scale. I narrow my eyes at her a little, trying to figure out her game. The feelings she's giving off are quite odd. "Hi... Kim, thanks..." she thinks they're tattoos? That's kinda cute. She held out her hand so I shake it. She has a firm, confident grip. I don't know what to think of this girl.

Two girls are talking by the bus stop. I sink down into my seat and continue waiting.

The mergirl looks strangely at me. I give a gleaming smile before jumping on the bus, and wave a goodbye to her. she seems fun to hang out with. I wonder if I could become friends with her

The girl then jumps on the bus and waves at me, I wave back and give her a smile, as to not be impolite. Near to the end of the conversation I found myself getting good feelings from her. That's a first.
Then my bus turns up. I put my foot on the first step and that's when it happens; I slip and fall onto the hard concrete floor. My scales graze and rip from my arm and elbows, it feels like they're on fire. I sit holding my arm for a moment, it covered in blood, rubbing and patting it trying to get the burning sensation to go away. "Ugh, not today not today not today" I think to myself.
