[Roleplay] The Aftermath 2.5 - A Cushion For Our Hearts

"Yeah, heh..." I sit up. "So... any plans for today?" I mumble sleepily.

I move a piece of hair out of her face and say, "I actually don't. Can you tell me why?"

"The memorial? Are you going to call Sai or should I?"

I wrap my arms around him and bury my face into his chest. "Fine.." I mumble. "You were better than great, okay? You were mind blowing..."

I sadly say, "That's what they all said..." I sigh. "Thanks for making me feel young again... if only for a night..." I hug her tightly.

I strengthen my grip slightly. "... Do you regret it..? Marrying me?" I ask quietly.

"Of course I do but the readers wished for us to get married even though we had nothing in common and our whole relationship makes no sense at all."

"Don't say that..." I plant a kiss on her forehead. "I... I just never thought I could be normal after that night..."

"Oh... oh!" I wake up a bit. "I dunno... I guess I'll call her..."

I smile lightly. "I'll make breakfast while you do that. Anything in particular you want?"

"Huh... Are you good with waffles?" I ask with a grin.

I smirk. "I'm good with most breakfast foods. After all, I've been practicing the past few years."

I climb out of bed and face him. "Waffles it is."

I walk off towards the kitchen to get breakfast ready.

I sigh. "Normal is nice... but..." I look into her eyes. "Normal does get boring sometimes... It's nice to be... different for a change... as you saw last night." I smirk.

"I'm truly blessed." I say facetiously as she walks out.

"Now, then..." I mutter, picking up my cell phone and dialing Sai's number.
