[Naiad]

"... Fine. Sai, I'll see you at the memorial, right?"

I nod slowly.

"Well, it'd only be right to bring Catherine and Scott, correct? After all, you were quite close with Orion and... Dusk."

 

[Myst]

I shake my head silently, push Gio aside, and leave the house for work. ****tard... it's all his fault... and Mace... What I would give to kill Mace... I sigh frustrated as I climb into my car.

 

[Naiad]

"... Come inside. Just— you have to be gone when Blaze comes back."

I nod quickly. "Definitely." I walk inside. ".... Nice place you have here."

"Yeah..."

[Myst]

I finally finish from work and wave goodbye to the guys.

I get in the car with Luna and start to drive home. I hope the ****tard left like he was supposed to... I can't have him feeding more lies to Sai. I wonder what he told her in the last 5 years already...

 

[Naiad]

I glance at the clock. "... You should probably go. Blaze'll be home soon. Besides," I add. "I need to start dinner."

"Yeah, just head to Montreal sometime, alright? Bring the kids too, it's fabulous up there."

 

[Myst]

I park the car and walk to the front door. I take out my key and start to unlock the door. What a day... I am so tired... I could go for a drink tonight...

 

[Naiad]

I wave. "Show yourself out, I'll be in here for a bit." I busy myself with preparing dinner.

"Later." I nod and head to the door.

 

[Myst]

I fumble with the key a bit but finally manage to get the door open.

 

[Naiad]

My eyes widen as Blaze opens the door. ... Maybe if I stay really, really quiet he won't notice me..?

 

[Myst]

I close the door behind me and proceed to silently lock it. I sigh out and mumble to myself, "What an exhausting day..."

 

[Naiad]

****... I slowly back up.

I hum quietly as I cook.

 

[Myst]

I finish locking the door when Luna begins to bark.

"What is it, girl?" I ask softly.

Luna starts to pull on the leash. She's never been this antsy before... is there a thief?

I call out, "Who's there? Tell me before I pound your face into a pulp."

 

[Naiad]

"Uh.. hi."

 

[Myst]

"You! I told you to leave!"

I follow his voice and grab him by his shirt collar. "Did I not make myself clear enough, scum?!"

 

[Naiad]

"... Well, I'll do just that if you let me go." I glance at the door, panicked.

I continue cooking. "Ah.... the Nanny should be here soon." I check the timer.

 

[Myst]

"Too. ****ing. Late. I've been waiting years to do this and I will not let this chance get away from me now." I hold him tight by his shirt collar with one hand while I pound into his face with my other fist. It isn't until I feel blood on my knuckles that I start to smirk.

 

[Naiad]

I frown when I hear noises. "... Probably just a raccoon toppling something over." I sigh. "I'll check it out later."

I feel myself growing lightheaded. Ugh....

 

[Myst]

Something strange starts to come over.

Where there was darkness, there is now light.
Where I saw black, I now saw color.

I jump backwards, dropping Gio in the process and run my hands over my face.

Is this really happening...? Can I see again...?

 

[Naiad]

I let out a yelp as I hit the floor. Sleepiness casts itself over me.

I frown at the thumping noise.

"Is everything alright out there..?" I walk out of the kitchen.

 

[Myst]

I glance over at Sai's voice and my mouth drops open.

Has it really been that long...? Last time I saw her, she was so young... What happened to us?
