"Yes!" I chuckled, hopping off of him. Grabbing Elliot's hand, I pulled him outside. "How did you save me?" I asked, showing no signs of releasing his hand.

I inwardly sighed. It seemed that my prediction we wrong. She could cling and walk at the same time. Damn you multitasking women. "let me see... It was around 7pm and it was in winter, so it was dark. really dark. you and some other people who i assumed were your relatives, were walking. Again, I assume that you had been shopping or something, as you were all loaded up with bags. Some of the main thugs that hang around here decided that you guys looked like target practice, so they attempted to nick all you stuff. The rest of your family ran off, leaving you behind. all but two of the thugs went after them. It also seemed as though they didn't just want you stuff: They attempted to kidnap you. I managed to beat them up before they could though." I hoped that the story was satisfactory. By now, I had led her to one of the main roads. "Hey, wait- do you even remember my name?" ​

I was the only one who didn't go to the Stellar meeting, as I forgot while I was sulking in the corner, muttering lines over and over. I would probably get yelled at by a higher up later. I climbed onto the roof of the Stellar base, giggling to myself.

"That sounds horrible..." I mumbled, squeezing his hand a bit. "Of course I remember your name! You said it was Elliot when I found you in my house! How could I forget the name of my savior?" I giggled, hugging him again as I walked. "Do you remember my name?" I giggled, letting go of him to hold his hand again.

Really? Now hugs whilst walking? I inwardly sighed again, although I kept the smile on my face. I better get used to it. "You're name was Rin, right?" Thank god I'd taken the liberty of exploring the house. There'd been a picture of all the family together, and there'd only been one daughter. Later, I'd also found a birth certificate for Rin D'Aeth, which I assumed was her. The age was about right after all.​

"Yep, Rin D'Aeth! Heheh... It kinda sounds like my last name is Death, don't you think so?" I laughed, starting to skip a bit. "What's your last name? You never told me that." I watched as a pidgin landed a few yards in front of us. "Oh! What's that? What's that!?" I laughed, releasing Elliot's hand as I ran towards the bird. I couldn't even remember what a bird was.

I laughed at her chasing the pigeons. "My last name is Greenwich. That's a pigeon. They're birds." I resisted the urge to rub my hand. That girl's hand was like a vice.​

"Oh..." I frowned as the bird flew off. "I wish I could fly... The freedom must feel nice..." I muttered under my breath. I turned back towards Elliot. "Your name doesn't make sense... You aren't green, and you couldn't be a witch because witches are females. You would have to be Greenwarlock..."

I laughed at her reasoning. "Well then, I'll just have to be the Skin-tonewarlock then!" this girl really was rather odd. Oh well. Everyone in this messed up world was odd in one way or another.​

"Oh yes! That name is perfect! From now on you can be Elliot Skin-tonewarlock!" I laughed. "I suppose since I just changed your last name, you gotta do the same for me!" I giggled, bouncing on my heels as I poked his chest.

"hmm.. Let's see..." my gaze wandered over to her eyepatch. "How about something to do with your missing eye?" I gave up even attempting to stop her as she poked me. This was a battle that I was never going to win.​

I lowered my eye to the ground as I stopped moving, a frown upon my face. "What about it? Did you find it or something? Do you have a problem with people with only one eye? Huh?" I growled, tears budding on my eyelashes as I looked back up at him. "Would you prefer if I had a glass eye over an eye patch?"

"W-what? 'Course I don't." I looked at her with concern as tears formed in her eye. Sure, she was odd, but she was also the only company I currently had. "Glass eyes are creepy. Eye patches are much cooler." Damn. This is why I had no friends. I wasn't very good with all this emotional stuff.​

I turned and walked a few steps from him, sitting down in the middle of the sidewalk. "You're right... I probably wouldn't even be able to get a glass eye to stay in without getting eyelids..." I uttered to myself, pulling my eye patch over my eye so I couldn't see. "Damn... It's bleeding again..." I growled, pulling off my patch as blood started to trickle from my socket again.

I sat on the curb next to her. "you want me to try to patch that up for you?" I said with honest concern for a change. The thought of having no eye did actually kinda creep me out but, after how she reacted last time I mentioned it, I thought that it was best not to tell her that. "Maybe we should go back to your place... We can probably get some bandages there and also some food."​

"I don't think there is any. If I really did do these stitches, then I must have used up all the medical junk, right?" I muttered, pulling my patch back down over my eye so I didn't have to look at the boy. "Why do you want to help me anyways? The sooner I die, the sooner you are rid of me." I stated coldly, hugging my legs to my chest.

"Well it's easy enough to buy new supplies, isn't it?" I was surprised at how quickly such a bright, bubbly girl could become so depressed. "I want to help you partly because you're a fellow alpha, partly because i've helped you before and it would be a waste for you just to be hurt again later on and also because you're probably the closest thing I have to a friend at the moment." As I said the last part I bit my lip and looked away. Why did it always come down to the emotional stuff? "That should also answer the question of why I wouldn't want to be rid of you." Damn me. I just had to say that. Sometimes I really hate myself.​
