I understand that posting an opinion they don't disagree will always provoke a response, but what I don't like is if they attack me or get rude for it. I know he wasn't trying to do it this time, but in the past, he has been doing it a lot, hence why I specifically don't want him responding to me.
However, I have accepted that it's what I believe that's constantly giving me a negative reputation from others. It's not how I say my opinions. And why is that? It's either becausebthey have not matured enough (which is common), or because they are overly passionate over the issues. Some other members told me that I need to educate myself more on the issues or mature better, but judging by their tones, I believe that they want me to change my opinions and switch to the liberal side if I want to face less criticism. There's no way I'm going to do it. I know the issues and what both sides believe very well, but I'm sticking to the right wing on the majority of these issues. So yep, I'm not going to post opinions in the future. The only reason why I got involved in this thread is to tell the topic creator that you don't need to live in constant fear, and to show interesting facts or statistics about the whole issue on shootings. It wasn't to share opinions.
Apples, we are human. We are all unique as a snowflake falling from the beautiful sky but while we are unique, we share common interests for certain things like from shows to politics. We may not all share the same interest though. That being said, you are posting your political opinions on a forum dedicated to Animal Crossing, a kids game. I'm not saying you can't post your views since it's not against the rules, but calling people "immature" (Or not matured yet) isn't the way to go.
Putting out your political statements or really any opinions leaves you vulnerable for people to criticize you based on what you said. That goes for everyone. People might not like what you say or do, because that is life. So, where am I going with this?
I don't agree with everything you say, I just don't believe a person should stop speaking their views on certain interest just because people don't like what you say.
You are you, you have your beliefs. I believe as long as you ain't going to physically/verbally hurting someone with your opinions (Calling people names/Racism/Threats/etc.), you should express your heart away.
BEWARE THOUGH, people have different opinions and should also have the right to voice their opinions based on what you say. That's just life....
I believe every snowflake on this forum is awesome and should express their beliefs because they believe it them, not whether or not everyone thinks it's wrong or doesn't fit with their beliefs. I'm on the liberal side of politics and so is the majority of the forums but if you have conservative values, then you should have the ability to express it just like the rest of us.
On-topic now, my school has taken measures so we don't have any school shootings. Some people from the other high school was making threats on social media so we can't carry our backpacks around anymore or go sit in the courtyard for lunch. A lot of us hate the rules but I see why they put them in place so I ain't complaining. Sadly, it's been hard to be organized without using my backpack. I hate using the locker and don't have the time to do it so I just leave my backpack at home.
