Share your favourite room in your character's house!

Okay ya know what, I'll just throw my whole house away because these are A M A Z I N G. And gee, I thought my kitchen was nice; yours is BOUJEE. The private quarters especially is just beautiful. Really makes you feel like you are in the mountains :)

I’ll join you too in ditching my house LOL. I like my designs, but everyone’s design here has made me realize I need to up my game or something and that there is always room for improvement :). And to make use/find use for what little furniture variety we have, I think that by itself is impressive :).

I’m thinking maybe I try too hard to make mine look like something that I’m basing it off of or that I try too hard to make it unique - out of the box.

I did not know you could put items on the drink machines. o_O

Really nice use of the lighting, everyone. I think that’s one area i need more practice on.

I really liked the room that you posted. The effect of the lighthouses and lit-up phonebooths against the crisp starry sky combined with the cluttered papers on the floor was very striking.

Thank you so much! That means a lot to me 😊. I still am getting used to the scattered paper as opposed to having the designs on the wall. But, I’m glad to hear from you and @Matt0106 that it looks well.

I really liked your room’s design as well 😊. The combination of the clock gears, clocks and hourglasses and phone box. The flowers and terrariums really bring out the color too. Your outfit goes well with the area too; it’s cute ^.^.

And I really liked the positioning/arrangement. of the furniture as well like the shower over the phone box and the well, not to mention the clock gears. And the colors you picked all go well together. It’s very beautiful :).

I haven’t seen all a lot of Ghibli’s movies; I might have seen part of Howl’s Moving Castle, if it’s the one that I’m thinking of. Looking back at @OiGuessWho ’s comment and remembering the bit I did see, I think they’re onto something. I do get this kinda of mysterious, somewhat eerie vibe looking at the pictures and thinking about how the street organ sounds, even though the giant teddy bear is extremely cute.

I can certainly tell you put a lot of thought and effort into it :). Sorry if I got the wrong vibe or if that sounded weird. I’m not really good at articulating myself or reading the mood.

Not at all weird, I think that's a lovely comment! Thank you very much:) That's exactly the sort of vibe I was going for: Eerie-pretty.

This thread definitely helped motivate me to clean my main room up. Now I think it's my favorite. Where I'd drink coffee, read the mail and nap in a chair uncomfortably by the fireplace.

Ended up dropping some scattered papers in front of the fireplace later on. No use in keeping letters from the HHA...

Before the main room, the side room's greenhouse was my favorite.

Just pretend the oranges are pumpkins.

That reading room is gorgeous and looks super cozy :) Love all the teddies! Also I'm glad to hear this thread actually helped you out!

AND THAT GARDEN IS BRILLIANT! All of you have such unique ideas I literally would've never thought of :D

One of my characters runs an Inn in my town, I finished what I think is my favorite of the three guest room today. I tried to give each one a distinctive look.

The main floor is a coffee shop where guests can check in:

And then my favorite of the guest rooms:

I've been putting off decorating my houses, instead focusing on the outdoor portions of the island, but recently I've been really enjoying setting up different indoor spaces:) Which is good because I have six characters in total. All with their own houses full of rooms:)

This is possibly my favorite room so far in my nature sprite character's house:

Once mushroom season starts I'm going to replace the garden lanterns with mushroom lamps.

Wow, I’m living for the rustic look of your café! Very well done, everything looks super pristine. Also I loved the way you used the simple panels and the telephone booth in the guest bedroom (especially the telephone booth, would’ve never thought of that)!

But oh my, that nature room is absolutely stunning. I’ve only ever seen the water flooring used with wooden deck planks to mimic a pool, but you actually found a way to make it work!

I feel like we don't have as much furniture in Horizons compared to New Leaf, but players seem to be more creative in Horizons. Everyone's rooms are gorgeous and so unique. I'm loving this thread.

I've got a little reading nook/plant room!
It's the pirate wall+ variety of plants from the game.
I ended up using some wedding items that were customized to be garden theme. I figured that the colors with matchup better and it would be more green themed.

I just looked up what the pirate wall looks like...

I now need the pirate wall.

In Ophelia's house I'm making a mermaid bathroom. It's not completely finished, but I'm happy with it so far

Awww I love your room! I love how home-y you made it :) Giving me lots of classic 70's vibes, I don't know why, but regardless, I love it.

I also love the coordination with the green wall and the mermaid furniture, it's a subtle but refreshing combo! Can't wait to see it when it's finished :D

My upstairs bed room/study!

Oh my goodness, okay first, I love how you really used up all the space! I tend to struggle with that. But anyway, your room has such peaceful zen vibes! Love the use of the mats for the study area, and also how you have a golden throne hidden behind the antique dresser to relax :)

I also loveeee rooms with a ton of plants, the more the merrier.
