So, i posted this here because I would talk about acnl and acnh. I really enjoy new horizons, and definitely one of my favorite games ever. It got me wondering about other animal crossing games, and new leaf is also really popular. Is it still worth getting new leaf when i'm addicted to new horizons? Or am i just biased and new leaf is also really fun, (and maybe addicting?) Thanks!

i think you’d enjoy it ! the game is not as based on decoration like in acnh (there still are exclusive outside decorations and dozens of designs though), and more on gameplay aspects and villager relationships. its really fun imo !

Oh wow! That actually seems like I would enjoy it more-I’m not exactly an interior designer, if you know what I mean

I've never played New Horizons so I can't give you an opinion about the difference between the two but I can tell you that unlike New Horizons, New Leaf is a completed game so you don't have to wait for updates. Since New Leaf has been around for awhile, there are bunch of guides out there to help you with your gaming experience. Furthermore, there's still an active community playing New Leaf and trading in the forums that you can take advantage of before the online aspect of the game gets discontinued! Get yourself a new town, be a mayor, build and deepen your relationships with your villagers, trade with other players, play with strangers at Club Tortimer, buy turnips from Joan before she retires in NH (turnip is not the sole way to make big money as opposed to NH), catch rare bugs for bells at the Tortimer's Island and more. As long as you believe you have the spare time for another AC game, you'll enjoy the experience :)

I’d definitely recommend it! I remember having lots of fun with it as a child. As long as you do a bit of research before hand to make sure it’s really something you’d want I’d go for it :) plus of you find out you don’t like kg very much you can always resell the game

i recommend it! it definitely might feel weird playing it since everything is so different now with new horizons and a lot of what makes new horizons unique such as the crafting, being able to place furniture outside, terraforming isn’t in new leaf. but at the same time, it’s still a great game and is incredibly charming + has great features & npcs that currently aren’t in new horizons aha

There are aspects of New Leaf that are better than New Horizons and vice versa. It might be a little difficult to go back to due to the quality of life enhancements of New Horizons not existing in New Leaf, but it's still a fun little venture. So, I guess I'd say it couldn't hurt. It's still a very fun and interesting game.

Go for it! New Leaf is still pretty fun to play with the island, Club Tortimer (though do be careful), etc. It has more design spaces (40 I believe), feels a lot more relaxed than the constant terraforming that New Horizons has, and the villager dialogue is slightly better. I play both NH and NL, and I switch (pun intended) between the two all the time.
