I wanna say no, but I don't think Men should HAVE to be drafted either. If I clicked no, I'd feel like I was saying, "Ship those boys off!" But if I said yes, I'd feel like a liar because I would never wanna be drafted, and if women were drafted, I doubt anything could exclude me from the draft. Plus, If men are already drafted, and if women were suddenly also drafted, what would the government do about the children whose parents were both drafted or selected for the draft? Would they pardon one of the parents? Would they make the family decide who has to put their life on the line, so that one of them can care for the children? Maybe the government wouldn't care and would ship them both off anyways. I hate the draft, and even though we need people to fight for our countries, it's just a terrible thing. Imagine living a peaceful, happy, life with your family when all of a sudden you're called to war. You could die, and if you live, you'll be away from your family for a very long time most likely. I just really feel bad for people who have to fight in wars.

I don't think anyone should be drafted but if men have to then women should too. That's real equality.

If men are, yes
But the criteria should be different, because it's more common for women to be taking care of their children, etc.

Absolutely. In time of great peril, everyone should fight. Not just for your country, but for your home and family. However, it would have to be really bad for me to agree for drafting of all humans. I'm talking civil war/WW3. And while I don't agree with war in general and am against it, that will not stop it from happening. War will always happen and it will continue to happen as long as humans thrive. "Is submission not preferable to extinction?"

I think that women should be drafted and here's why. I don't like the idea of war but I don't think it will ever cease to exist. Instead of protesting or not believing in war, I choose to accept the reality that it exists in our world culture and that it is unavoidable, to an extent. I also think that drafting is a necessary part of war. To be fair, I haven't been very exposed to the culture that surrounds the military and am unacquainted with the honor, patriotism, and satisfaction that drives people to enlist voluntarily. However, I don't think that large wars could be fought without drafting because I don't think that we could have a large enough army to fight World War III, for example, simply through volunteers. Like, I don't want to fight in a war! I would rather stay home and support from here. I think that there aren't enough brave souls to make up the entire army necessary for a large scale war.

So yeah, war and drafting are terrible but I believe that they're necessary evils. Should women be drafted, then? Of course! True gender equality isn't just about women fighting for rights that they've been denied and speaking out against the struggles they face, it's about being genuinely equal. Just as women face issues such as lower pay and rape culture, men also deal with the meaning of "true masculinity" as well as being drafted in wars. It's not fair that just men are drafted. And while I'm a woman and I definitely do not want to be drafted in a war, I believe that I am man's equal, and if that means I have to go to war to prove that point, I will.

Basically this. I don't think anyone should be drafted, PERIOD! Being forced to fight another man's/women's war when one doesn't agree w/ it is ridiculous!

If we have another draft, which is never going to happen, then yes, women should be drafted.

I don't think you guys understand that we're never ever going to have a draft.
