I have an old photo (as in pre-digital era) of one of my dogs jumping off the couch for the first time as a puppy. This picture of Blossom is similar in so many ways.
Quite a few of you already know about her since I never.. shut up about her.. but for anyone who doesn't, this is my Bonk!!
Bonk's groomer always takes silly pictures of her after every appointment, and this is from the latest one! I thought this would be fitting to share given the season! I promise she wasn't as upset as she looks LOL
My family and I adopted her from our local animal shelter in August 2022, and she turned 3 this past July! She's a shorthair, though her vet believes she may have some siamese in her! Bonk is the most unique and frustrating cat I've ever met, but I wouldn't trade her for anything. She's my reason for getting up every day, and she's the brightest light in my life on my darkest days. Playing with her always makes me laugh, and while she isn't a lap cat, she's still plenty affectionate! I love that she'll bonk her head into my hand, leg, foot or head when I'm petting her or playing with her (it's how she got her name!). Her purr is loud enough to fill an entire room and brings me so much comfort. The way she looks at me fills my heart with so much joy. She'll occasionally cuddle with me by laying on my recliner chair with me, and it brings me so much peace.
There's so much I could say about her, which is why I never shut up about her LOL. Even though it's apparently illegal for me to go to the bathroom by myself, she's the mayor of mischief town, and she sings the song of her people at the most inconvenient times (like the middle of the night), Bonk is truly my best friend and my reason for living. I love her so much.

I agree with @Dunquixote , please never ever stop talking about Bonk! I love seeing pictures of her, the more the merrier!
Blossom is wearing her Christmas tree outfit today. We've just been out for our morning walk and it made me smile so much to see so many children and adults over at her petting her and saying how happy she is. She is everything to me.
I am still learning the quirks of my new kitty Cosma! I am realizing that she doesn't care about soft comforts. She avoids all of the soft bedding I put out for her, and she goes for the cardboard boxes.
Also, like in this picture, she loves to balance and look as comfy as possible... ON MY SHIN. Yes... probably the most bony part of my body other than my skull, and right up against my foot!
