Has anyone ever considered making an island with all one species of animal? It would lack diversity, but you’d be able to get all the personalities..

i've seen people on this forum who have all wolf/ostritch/cat towns! it's not super uncommon

I'm gonna try to get almost all the wolves but because they're all cranky and snooty (minus skye and audie) I wont have a ton of variety. Plus there are 11 wolves and only 10 spots!
I do plan on having at least 7 wolves though.

I'm fine with her being peppy tbh! As the first peppy wolf it allows me to have an extra wolf in my town with another personality different from the rest haha

i'm fine with her being peppy too! it just seems weird to me that they lean SO far into those personalities for wolves! i don't think it's that hard to make them more evenly spread

Back in NL I had an all/mostly koala town (filled in the holes with penguins because there weren't enough) but this time around I think I'm just going to have anybody move in and not base it on species
In the past I’ve thought about a squirrel town, but now after watching Tiger King on Netflix, I think it would be neat to have a tiger town. I don’t think I could ever have a single species town because there are so many great villagers out there. However, the random generator gave me two tigers already. Lol!

I used to have an all cat town in New Leaf. So far my villagers in New Horizons are all different, but I’m not opposed to making another all cat town again. I really loved all the cats I had in New Leaf.

I had duck,pig and frog towns in New Leaf but I'm going to stay with an assortment of species for my NH island.I did get one ducky for NH and I'm thinking of getting a pig and a frog as well.
Kyle is Smug! So that should give you a little more variety.
Wolves are my favorite species in the game, but I do wish their personalities were more varied, but we're starting to get there.
In my towns I typically try to have no more than two of a species or personality type. So I might want two wolves, but I wouldn't want two cranky wolves.
If we were allowed to have multiple towns though, I'd totally do an all wolf or an all cat town!
I find single-species towns interesting. Funny enough, I'm the exact opposite. I only want 1 of a species in my town at a given time. I like the diversity of having many different animal species, and it lets me focus on finding favorites in species I wouldn't usually think about.

I had a deer town in New Leaf! It's for fun a while but then it gets boring. Especially because I chose them only because they were deer villagers, but I ended up not liking them that much.

I've thought about having an all dog town, or all squirrels, but I have too many varied species favorites.

Ostrich lady here!
In New leaf my town was populated by all ten ostriches of the game:
Blanche • Cranston • Flora • Gladys • Julia • Phil • Phoebe • Queenie • Sandy • Sprocket
Why? Simply because i love them all! Yes sure, some more than others (Flora, Phoebe, Blanche, Julia) but i simply love the design, even if they share the same model, they are actually different species of bird.
Flora is a flamingo, Cranston is a Ibis, Phil is a pheasant, Gladys is a crane, Julia is a Peac0ck... and Phoebe is a majestic phoenix! Only Sprocket is the *meh* villager because is a robot and not a true ostrich but is necessary, or i miss a jock villager, so i just accept is presence. ù-ù *and i'm just little salty because they did not introduce new ostriches, especially a cranky one, the only personality that is missing but, whatever....*
Actually i'm trying to do the same thing in New Horizons, and i'm in half of my trip, 6/10 ostriches are in my town and only 4 are left (Julia, Sandy, Sprocket and Queenie) and i hope there is not a single stupid glitch to stop me!
