NH isn’t set on a tropical island, it’s set on a deserted island. Tbf, it’s an easy mistake to make, in general a lot of deserted islands ARE tropical… but the island NH’s set on is more like one of the more remote islands of Japan.I don't live where it snows in real life so I don't know how long snow hangs around in real time, but for me, 3 months is entirely too long, especially on a supposedly tropical island.
If it was actually set on a tropical island, it’d make it hard to do normal AC stuff like “have the seasons change in real time”
(Sorry for getting a bit grouchy there, it’s just one of those facts that end up getting distorted then shared around a lot, like “AC and Splatoon share the same team” [it’s about 40 shared people max, and no AC game has 100% the same team as the last one as most of the people move between different projects] and it’s just frustrating to hear it repeated again and again)
But, getting back to the actual topic: YEAH BABY THE SNOW’S GONE, NOW FOR ABOUT A WEEK OF UGLY BEIGE GRASS STEADILY GOING AWAY, AND THE GAME’S SECOND ANNIVERSARY IS NEARLY UPON US (so I’m hoping for a little update with a cake)
(also it’s nice to see the camellias not covered in snow for once!)
