With Min-Min in Smash, my desire for ARMs has been revived and I'm really intrigued with it again. Would anyone recommend getting it in 2020, though? I heard online can be kind of scarce depending on the mode you play.

They really need to knock the price tag down to a permanent $40 because I won't pay $60 for it. I am definitely interested in picking it up with Min Min appearing in Smash though.

Yeah I’m really interested in getting it, and I would’ve bought it by now, but that full price tag is just hard to swallow. They didn’t even drop the price during their big summer sale, which had NEWER receiving sales all over the place. I don’t get them sometimes 😒

Tbh I was never aware anyone cared about ARMS even before they put a character in Smash.
Yeah, it was swept under the rug pretty quickly. I think things would’ve been different if Nintendo showed it more love.

I've actually been looking around and I really don't think they make the physical copy anymore. There's not that many listings and the prices are inflated on big online retailers. I can't even find it at all under GameStop's website. You know a game doesn't sell well when they move to digital which begs the question to me why they went with ARMS for a character choice. I'm definitely happy with Min Min, but other popular choices would have taken priority.

Yeah I noticed that too since I prefer physical, but I would be fine with digital if it came down to it. I just don’t get why they killed the support for it so early. That and the price for what you’re getting made it less desirable for most people.

I bought it on the announcement thinking "it must have been a bit more than a crappy tech demo for a character to be in Smash".

Played it for about an hour, me and my partner taking turns. I felt at that point i had seen everything I was going to see and havent touched it since.

Best part about it being in Smash is that the character designs are great, I would have loved to like ARMS for that alone, I at least get them in a game like Smash. Worst part of the game I cant decide whether its the lack of content, not much going on with what is there and the joke that they're still or ever had the audacity to charge £60 for it.

That price is a killer. I really want to buy it because I keep going back to the demo, but 79.99 CAD is A LOT for a three-year old game, let alone a game like ARMs.

I usually don't think too much about the price of a game but even going in knowing it probably wasn't going to be worth £60, it still managed to make me feel like I got ripped off.

It's baffling how they thought that was a good pricepoint for such little content on a new IP when they released something as full as the first Splatoon on Wii U as a budget title. Then again looking at the other launch window "lets sell tech demos disguised as games" games, 1-2-Switch and Snipperclips weren't priced much better either. Makes me wonder if ARMS could have been a bigger thing if people weren't put off by the cost for such little content.

my exact thoughts. if the price is below 50$ on the Eshop, I might go for it.
I'm guessing online multiplayer is bad, since nobody else really plays the game...

Party mode is apparently thriving, but it could take a LONG time to find a ranked match.

I played it for a little when the switch was new and there weren’t a lot of great games out yet. It was kinda fun but it really can’t compare now that there are so many other amazing games for the same price.

It’s still technically a thing but they didn’t do enough with the concept to make it viable for longevity and as such had fell out of the public eye :(
