Title says it all lmao. Probably tons of people have asked about this, but I'm petrified he's going to wear it. When delivering the gift, I said the option where it doesn't look good and he took it off, but it still exists in his clothes drawer (and was displayed in his house). Is there anyway to make sure he doesn't wear it? I'm absolutely petrified LOL.

For future reference, I would close the game mid-convo. Even if the game autosaved after accepting the question, because I feel like it's not worth the friendship points to gift something atrocious lol.

But I had a similar experience with Buck when he was given a purple sprite outfit. Looked awful. I told him that he shouldn't wear it, and unless I'm just very very lucky, I never saw him wear it once after that. others have had other experiences though, so I'm not sure anymore.

There are threads somewhere on here about this very thing...I think you have to gift them something like 24 pieces of clothing to cycle it out. good luck, and I hope he never wears it!

That's happened to me with merengue giving Judy an instant muscle suit, and well I told her she looked bad so, I started gifting her clothes every day after that and I'm not sure if it's still in her wardrobe, but you could try that

lmao this just happened to me but with an instant muscle suit given to Bob from Muffy (you are on thin ice, Muffy, I swear on me mam)

I even felt too bad saying it looked trash so I complimented Bob and they kept it on, He only wore it for one day tho, I tt'd forward a day (for unrelated reasons) and he wasn't wearing it anymore. I hope it stays that way...

Unfortunately I bought a villager off of Nookazon recently who was allegedly "ungifted" but turned out to be very much so. The clothes they gave her look atrocious and clash with her colors/theme/design soooo much it is an eyesore to look at so I guess I'll have to cycle thru 24 times then haha! Darn it.

Also OP props to you for choosing the "doesn't look good on you" option because I always feel bad and say it looks okay and then suffer for it afterwards haha. I hope that he doesn't wear it!

Recently I got an ungifted Tangy and I /very/ specifically curate all my villagers outfits. Cleo gave me a gift to deliver to her and I was so scared by what it could be. So I looked up what would happen... And opened the gift. AND I'M SO GLAD I DID. It was the hippie shirt, whatever it's called. I didn't deliver it and avoided Cleo for a few days. She forgot and it was all fine.

I learned you can open packages before delivery and check what's inside. If it's something you are willing to give, wrap it up with regular wrapping paper from Nook's and they'll be none the wiser.

Something similar happened to me with Keaton. Someone gifted him a pink baby romper and despite me saying it looks terrible; to my dismay I saw him wearing it around. It turns into a dress/long tunic and it was cursed. I ended up letting him move away, so it wasn't too bad in the end.

So now, I will open gifts first and depending on what it is, wrap it up or let them rage at me. If it's for villagers that will move off my island, I let the gifts happen because I want the achievement.

It is yeah! I read somewhere that someone declined to do the delivery for a villager but the next day they were wearing something new and said it was from that villager (who tried to trigger the delivery) if that makes sense.

We've all been there. My baby Pietro has ended up with two full body tights outfit following a prank war with Raymond! I have to say as long as I don't actively acknowledge that they are full body tights they don't look entirely hideous on them. Just look like plain long sleeve tops. Sheep are notoriously difficult to dress as most things stretch or don't have enough length I've found. But yeah... I totally feel your pain.

I've become convinced that they've been gifting one another their clothes at the moment all sorts of weird and wonderful outfits have appeared!
