Do you think Nintendo plans to attempt something similar for AC Switch and Pocket Camp? And if so, how would you feel about that?

Personally, I'd be kind of okay with it. Especially since PC introduced some cool furniture and clothing items. BUT I don't think it should be limited to only being able to access said items if you play PC. If done, it should just be as an "early bonus" type deal, but still make it fully possible to get them in the Switch game. Especially for those of us who plan on using more than one profile for multi-town ownership, lol.

god i hope not.
i want the new items from pocket camp but i don't want to have to play pocket camp to get items in ac switch. i don't want them to be connected, you already have the pay for items thing with amiibo content and that's enough. just give us all the items without having to pay for them after paying for the full game. dlc and in game purchases aren't for animal crossing.

As someone who gave up on both mobile games more than just quickly, I hope not. Pocket Camp is better than Pok?mon GO in my opinion, so it’s at least something I could redownload and not mind using periodically, but if it’s as intertwined with the new game as GO is with Let’s Go... that’ll be a shame in my opinion!
Are the Let’s Go games considered main series or are they still gen seven? Hopefully Nintendo looks at it in the way that they haven’t made a main series AC game since 2012/2013 (release dates depending) so they should stick to the actual game and not make it gimmicky like the new Pok?mon games are. I’m sure gen eight of Pok?mon won’t be so much about Pok?mon GO (I feel like it’s just introducing casual GO players to the main series stories, or at least I hope), so I’m hoping a new set of AC will follow a similar rule!
We won’t know for awhile.. can only hope for the best for this new game!!

I don't think Go is that intertwined with LG - you can only transfer pokemon to LG and not the other way around. And you unlock just a few features for both games by connecting them. I really don't think you'll actually be able to move your items to the Switch AC but you may be able to transfer your catalogue to start with as a one-time thing before you start the game, WW-CF style. Beyond that I hope the only mobile interaction is with the Switch Online app. I am also 100% NOT for exclusive items in PC that can only be obtained by transferring. Unless there is still the ability to trade them to other players, and even then it would suck. It would stink of cash grab to me if this applies to all fortune cookie items.

I hope not. I own a phone for phone calls and texts -- not games.

I hope so. If it does happen, I hope the only things you can transfer over are the fortune cookie items. I bought most of mine, so it being free in the next game is kind of a slap in the face, but I also want them to be in it. I love the game so I'll play it whether they're connected or not, but I do believe Nintendo has said that they will be but in what way is up for speculation.

why would it be a slap in the face to get items in a game you've already paid for.......

I hope not. I hate having gimmicky stuff in full-fledged games where it involves having to use mobile or some sort in order to achieve something. That ruins game experience in my opinion and it would probably turn away a few people if that is to be heavily focused.

I think items in a game shouldn't require you to purchase or play another game just to get them.

Because other people get it for free, too, when it seems to be an exclusive item. Sorry, I'm a little selfish when it comes to something I paid for in hopes that I can get it in the next game.

that was your choice to spend $ tho.. you could've gotten them by 5k bells cookies. why restrict other users just cause you couldn't resist and wanted them instantly.. that's a bit "..."

When it comes to this I hope pokemon lets go flops hard to inform nintendo : consumers don't want this (and I'm going to be frank, I would really hope they don't want a game that wasn't complex in the first place dumbed down to the level where an ostritch with a joycon round it's neck could probably beat the game with enough luck)

Pocket camp should be pocket camp. AC switch should be AC switch. They should remain as two entities for two audiences, and lets be real, who on earth is going to play pocket camp when a full blown switch game is available. Pocket camps appeal is we are starving for animal crossing and thats basically all lol

That's exactly how I feel.

I truly hope they are kept separate.

again, you paid for a premium

and the switch game isn't free in the slightest, since unlike pocket camp, someone *has* to pay for a copy of that. so buying it is of course paying for every item and feature the game has to offer

I mean unless they're planning on pirating/stealing it, but let's not go there

I don't think there will be 3DS connectivity (although I imagine it would be technically possible), but if there were I doubt there would be a town transfer feature. However, I do imagine you may be able to transfer your character and catalogue, the same as what I'm predicting for PC (minus the character).

I really hope there is a way to at least transfer some items from NL.
After buying so many amiibo cards and figures.
