I love the pacing. The fact that things develop slowly and over time, and not necessarily all overnight is wonderful. It always makes me excited for the next day--seeing what will happen, if there are visitors, any new buildings, improvements, etc., and I'm glad they kept the daily announcements when moving to NH as well!

I love the cute villager animations too. There's SO MANY different ones. It makes them feel way more alive than they ever felt before.
The funniest one I've seen so far is earlier today Muffy walked over to the beach. She turned with her back facing the ocean, pulled out a phone, and then took a selfie! O_O I was really shocked.

that you can move buildings around. it comes with a fee and it's once a day but i'm glad they realised that people are gonna change their layout and where they want those buildings to go even though they've already chosen the spot before. the amount of choice with this kind of thing is amazing
Ah! I've yet to purchase wrapping paper! I've seen that it comes in different colours, which I love, and I can't wait to see more of it!
It's hard to name 1 thing. As someone playing for as long as I have, some of these are things I wish I had all along.
Being able to change my appearance and hairstyle at will. Although I hardly touch the appearance option, I feel comfort in knowing the option to change it is available whenever I need it. Same for hair. I change the shade of my hair now and then making it either lighter or darker.
Placing furniture outside is a huge one. It's just to amazing how well it works, and how well some items look outside.
Terraforming and pathmaking... I haven't gotten either of them yet, but we all know what they can do. I can't wait to redesign my cliffs, and river. I especially can't wait to sculpt some paths around my town.
Placing buildings and houses. No getting stuck with terrible building placements, or villagers building their housing in chaotic ways.
I truly have the power to make my town look the way I want it. New Leaf got close, but was still far off. And the past games, other than flora, and some patterns on the ground, you could not make a town look the way you wanted it.
Very minor, but fish tanks have little lights you can turn on. Very cool looking.

I love the colours in this game! It's a little less saturated when compared to previous games, but I like how easy and gentle it is on the eyes. Also, the colours when the sun sets and the sky turns to night is just amazing! I enjoy launching the game during the evenings and nights just to watch the calm sky c:

How clean and pristine everything looks, there are actual textures present now and I love it. I’m wearing the sheep hat on my avatar and you can actually see the fuzz all over it!
I always love how we’re able to place furniture outside, it adds a whole new level of creativity. The increased inventory space is a dream, and don’t even get me started on how much I enjoy being able to place stuff on the beach.

I'm obsessed with the way Villagers do things around the island. I keep catching my villagers sitting under trees and it kills me. The dialouge is great, the graphics are amazing. I also love how you can place furniture outside and on top of your QR codes. Honestly my list could go on, but I will stop there.
I have begun a list: 
*The DIY feature!(except, of course, having to remake tools)
*The customization ability!
*The classy looks of the islanders homes.
*Orville and Wilbur...their dialogue cracks me up.
*How we can keep "hating on sea bass" because there are still SO many of them.
*The museum is outstanding, with more to come, apparently.
*I love the thrill I get when a coelacanth or an oarfish FLY out of the water!
*The way the mailbox works is a delight compared to NL.
*Balloon presents! Yes! I got 10,000 and 5,000 bells from two of them last evening.

It's such a little thing in the big scheme of things, but I am obsessed with the new museum, especially the fossil exhibit. It's more than a series of rooms holding artifacts now, and it's fantastic. The little evolutionary lines connecting species, and the end of the exhibit turning the light on you as if to say "look, it's you, at the end of it all!" made me so happy.
