If I understand the question right.... I believe there may be instances of this from the Splatoon Amiibo. For instance, the School Uniform gives the Inkling girl a skirt. And I believe the Samurai Jacket, specifically that red portion near the bottom which protects the thigh, would cover up the shorts. And... yeah, just looked it up, and see that the thigh portion of the Samurai Jacket, and the high boots that also come with the Samurai suit, cover up any indication of shorts.

But I assume you mean something that 'actually' replaces the shorts rather than just covering up, as otherwise even non-Amiibo clothing like the Squid Girl outfit would count.

So yeah... maybe just the skirt that comes with the School Uniform, which of course only counts for Inkling girls.

The skirt is just over the shorts, I believe. Can't have the Inkling girls flashing!

It's hard to notice them here since the Inkling girl shorts are smaller than the boy's in the first place.

I still think Link's tunic could cover the shorts just as well, though.
 
New stage tonight/soon?? Makes sense considering there's a Direct today.

This update looks so great! Can't wait for the new map! They both look very different from what Splatoon already has so that will mean tons of fun! (At least for me because i like veriety.)
 
So much of the new gear I'm liking is Forge, which has a strength for Special Duration Up... which is useless for my Inkstrikes. ;~; Hopefully I'll start running into some other new gear soon.

So I wasn't the only one that noticed. Here I got all excited but the whole Forge brand is completely useless to me. ;-;
Unless I use the Splash-o-Matic, which is what I try to use when leveling SDU gear so I don't waste an ability.
Still I wish the ability could affect Inkstrikes somehow.
