the trailer for star wars: the last jedi (episode viii) is to be released at the star wars celebration in orlando today at roughly 5pm GMT/uk time, which is 12pm EST
this thread is for discussion once it is released.

I'm mad hyped about this. I don't know how they've done it, but even with how simple it is, I just had goosebumps and got choked up half the time I was watching it. December cannot come soon enough, definitely going to the first screening of this at any of my local cinemas. I can't even put into words how on edge and impatient I am about it :D

me basically lmao

i think a lot of it spoke for itself: the training scenes; finn in a coma, etc, but i'm not sure why luke said that the jedi must end! and some scenes with first order, the poe and bb-8 explosion, the hooded guy with r2 that looked like a scene from episode vii when rey touched the lightsaber.

I saw the trailer with my partner. I'm not much a fan of the Star Wars movies myself, and he's only a bit more interested than I am.

He loved the trailer, he's very happy they're finally looking to deal with the Jedi situation (as per the title). I thought it was a step up on the other Star Wars trailers I've seen. There was some beautiful cinematography, just wonderfully arranged shots. I didn't care for some of the editing choices and I don't recall much of the plot, but I'm a heck of a lot more keen to see the movie now than I was before.
