Still Fumbling About Like a Clueless Person on Art

I meant to get this piece posted earlier, but a very crucial appointment had me reeling in pain for the last few days, and though I'm still recovering, I'm taking it easy.

With that out of the way, here's @S.J's character redrawn in my sketchbook. It's a more accurate idea of what I was going for digitally.
Sketch for S.J..jpg

It feels great to draw on something familiar. It's pretty transparent the torso was put together, haphazardly, but the head turned out much better than I expected — way more competently drawn than what I did in Krita. Just goes to show I still have a fair bit of time I need to spend to get used to the software.

Since this is a new page, I might as well post the project with the newer, better sketch, for comparison's sake.

Somehow, I still haven't given up on life yet... Yippee. I dunno. Here's a jaded individual just sitting miserably at a table.

With luck, maybe it'd take another four or five months to post something. Who knows? Don't encourage me; I don't feel inclined to read any replies, right now. I'm in a perpetually annoyed mood.

Here's my latest masterpiece.

Oh, yeah. I also changed the OP and title thread to better reflect how I've been feeling for the last six months. I'm a miserable, constantly-irritated, bitter individual. I have financing issues; I'm not getting much money. I'm constantly frustrated with how aimless my life is. I really think these mental woes are causing me to be depressed and seriously disillusioned by humanity.

This is already way too much info into my personal life. None of you strangers — you people I don't know and rarely interact with, have any business knowing any of it, yet I still took it upon myself to vent because I need some sort of space to let some of this out.

Feel free to post whatever you want on this. Give feedback, don't; I can't really care less than I already do. I turned off the notifications, so, if by the off chance I do get some sort of response, I have to actively look for it. Again, I can't be bothered for any consolation or pity. I don't want it. I don't need it. And maybe I probably don't even deserve it.

The "project" in question was supposed to be a small bit of motivation to get me going again. Rather or not it will work... that remains to be seen this week. As the text should imply, it's clearly not finished yet. Not even close.

Unfinished Background.png

Still unfinished. Tried to see if adding another 2-Point Perspective line would help. Not sure if it has. I confess that the digital world of art is still very much new to me. With so many options. It seems overwhelming.
2PP Density.png

Seems to represent how many lines can be displayed in a 2-Point Perspective. Wish I knew what to draw, here.

UPDATE: I scrapped replaced the 2PP assistant with one I felt more comfortable using. Lowered the opacity so that it was barely visible. I didn't do much at all with the other one. I just fiddling around with Snap Assistants options — just playing around with lines. I created what looked like a spider's web. Here's a couple of pix:

All layers (including the vanishing point and 2PP):

This turned out well, I think, considering I had no clue what exactly I was trying to accomplish. I should start a new project featuring a bigger web at the center.

Here's this web I should've completed earlier:

It's a simpler piece than the last one, isn't it? Nonetheless, I'm more satisfied with this project. I took more time and actual effort to draw this. As I mentioned in the last post, the other web design was totally unintentional, and once I figured out what I was doing, I kept adding more lines to it. This piece, despite looking more like a typically simplistic drawing of a spider's web, is clearly more meticulously drawn. To put this in perspective, here's what I did yesterday:
Base of Simple Spider Web.png

The Assistant Tool I used here was an Ellipse, and I used that as my base as I drew several lines within it. Getting the lines to stick together proved difficult, so I scribbled a small circle as a kind of a centerpiece (though it was after I screenshot this image).

Now here's all of that with the webbing:
Simple Spider Web (Base).png

Instead of awkwardly snapping assistant lines or what have you together, I took a more practical approach and took a quick glance at web drawings on Google Images. It gave me the idea to draw these lines in arcs (curved lines is probably more accurate), connecting to the long straight lines I drew beforehand. If anyone who uses Krita or other art programs are curious, the brush I used was c) Pencil-2.

Of course, the final result is what you can see in the first image of this post. I got rid of the Ellipse, and trimmed the lines so they wouldn't look out of place.

This really did turn out better than I expected. Should I draw a rose next? I did do that before; maybe I can upload the one I did in the beginning of the year, draw a new one and upload that, or I could do both of those things.

Lastly, if the images appear smaller than one in the previous post, it's because the canvas is in a smaller dimension. Here's the comparison:

Just for fun, here's the background:

And the layers I used:

I drew a purple rose on Krita.

I started this project on Thursday. This took longer than I wanted to because I'm constantly exhausted. My sleep pattern is keeping me from effectively getting anything done.

Here's the outline of the rose without the leaves:

And lastly, the layers (as of right now):
Purple Rose Layers (So Far).png

If you read the file name of the first image, you'll know that this is still a work in progress. I wanted to add a stem, with more leaves attached to it. I also wanted to try my hand at shading a rose in this program (I experimented with shading before with spheres) — maybe even try blending the colors. I used c) Pencil-2 and Pencil-3 Large 4B for the rose and leaves respectively.

I'll be busy this week, but I'll try to draw what I can if I have the opportunity, so I won't post anything on this thread for a little bit.
