Suggestion: RP Threads should have their own section of the forum.

If you really want one you should help push for it. At least then its more likely to happen

This has been suggested quite a few times before, but it's been ignored by the mods....I don't really see what else we could do to persuade them... ;-;

I support it so I don't have to sift through boring ass games played by the same 5 people if I wanna see a cool story going on

To be honest RP quality has been really bad lately....Zephyr's is the first good one in a long time imo

I imagine the quality'd get better if RP threads didn't get buried by all the game threads and ask threads honestly.

I swear his is the only one that actually got started...

A lot have got started, but they died quickly due to common concepts like dystopian world, fantasy, franchise based ones.

Either that or people just have been too lazy to reply.

It used to be pretty good before last summer :v

I think this is a great idea, I hate watching the hard work people put into a thread get buried and they cant find their own thread, one subsection for RPs is a great idea

You could just go to 'latest started threads' doee

I don't see why there wouldn't be a subforum for this.

In my opinion, the Basement really needs to get organized. Separate the ask threads already.

on another forum i was on, there were separate subforums for ask threads and roleplaying. there, both of the boards were really successful so i don't see why we can't have that here..

yeah, thats how it was for another forum i was on too

Believe it or not, many things are not solely about the time it takes to press a few buttons to do it.

This may change in the future, but the consensus of our team last I checked is that the quality and quantity of role plays on TBT generally isn't really high enough to justify any sort of board dedicated to them. If we see evidence of that changing, then perhaps it can be put into consideration.

Unlike many forums, we don't take the policy of creating sub-boards for every possible purpose, we choose to keep them limited for the most part for when we see a real need. We'd rather have fewer boards that are more populated and active than a bunch of not-very-active boards. Obviously there a few exceptions to this that exist for a specific purpose, but this is the mindset we generally use. Some may not be so active anymore now, but they still remain as they have been around for a while and users have become accustomed to them anyway. (this ties into the next sentence)

We're also weary of creating boards we aren't sure about yet as a trial run (as will probably be suggested here) because users tend to become attached once they are created and can get upset if they are removed later, even if they were only intended as an experiment.

That all said, it has been a while since our last discussions, so maybe we should take another more updated look at the situation soon! Things can change.
