Resident Night Mare
Summer is in full swing in Salem, and I've been making the most of it.
I put aside the money for down payments on the three extra houses. I also gave each character an extra 3,000 bells to go change their hair at Shampoodles. Sabrina has a short white hair, Theodora has dark green pigtails, and Tabitha has a dark blue ponytail.
After that, I switched back to mayor-mode and got to work. The Nooklings were closed, so I couldn't do anything there, but I bought some flowers and saplings from Leif, a new pair of shoes from Kicks, and a few things from the Ables. I also donated a few more fossils.
Once Re-Tail opened up, I checked on turnip prices. Still dropping, so I held on to them. I sold off my remaining fossils and gyroids, then talked to Cyrus about customizing some furniture. It was pretty inexpensive, and some of the combinations are pretty. Even though it isn't much, I really liked the Regal Armoire, which I had done in Royal Pink. The body was left white and the original gold detail is now pink. I put it in my bedroom and it goes much better with the Mermaid Theme than the original locker I had. It'll do until I get a Mermaid Dresser, or whatever the item is.
Bonbon was unpacking, so I stopped by to say hello. I'm so glad the town is full now; I can concentrate on the remaining PWPs and some more plants to try and get that perfect status.
Rocket asked me to come visit in the afternoon. She sold me her hi-fi stereo before I left. I also had several villagers tell me I should think about having Cyrus make a music box. Beardo hinted that it would make a nice present. I think it would make a nice addition to my bedroom.
It was raining on and off all day. While I was waiting for it to get late enough to go to the island, I put my wet suit on and jumped off the cliff. That's a lot of fun! I spent some time diving for things and found some new items for the Museum.
The first thing I got was a scallop. As I displayed it, I saw a little head pop up behind me. It was Pascal, who asked if he could have the scallop. I had planned to give it to the Museum, but figured I could find another, so I traded it to him. He gave me some Ship Flooring.
Later, I snagged a bunch of big-money bugs and sharks from the island, dove for a few new things, and made a substantial payment on my latest loan. I also put some money toward the new wind turbine behind the Town Hall.
After I had my coffee from Brewster yesterday, he told me that I would be able to get it to-go, if I wanted. I went in this morning and Pete was sitting at the counter, having a cup before his morning rounds. I took mine to go so I could get the rest of the fossils. I love how you can walk around town with your cup, sipping as you go. Brewster asked me which blend I wanted, and I let him choose. I think it was the standard one, but that's still very good.
I'm waiting for the Nooklings to open up so I can see the new store. I can't wait to see how much more stuff they carry.
