? Nate, Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Nate (バッカス, Bacchus) is a lazy bear villager in the Animal Crossing series. He has appeared as a villager in every version of Animal Crossing except Animal Crossing: Wild World. His Japanese name is from Bacchus, the Roman God of wine. Nate's initial quote is reference to his personality.
Nate asleep in New Leaf.
Appearance
Nate is an orange bear with a light green squiggly unibrow. He appears to pull a continuous unhappy look upon his face, due to his mouth meeting at his nose. He also has three freckles on each cheek. He initially wears the spring shirt, but will sometimes wear the player's designs if they make any. He has light pink inside his ears. His whole body is orange, except for some white on his face, hands, and feet. He may also look tan. He has a shiny black nose and an opened mouth.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality.
Like other lazy villagers, Nate will ask you to invite friends into your town. He also likes food, and will often talk about it. He is actually very shy and sweet, not talking much to others. Nate is absolutely in love with food. He loves to talk about and will often ask the player if they have any snacks. His dream foods are tuna tartare and sashimi. Nate is usually in a good mood and will be happy to carry a conversation with you. If angered, Nate will usually need a few minutes to cool down, but after that he is calm, cool and collected all over again. Nate's hobbies are staying inside sitting on his couch and watching TV, or reading a book, and the occasional furniture.
Nate is happy for the birds reuniting.
House
Nate's house has a mossy garden feel towards it, the Wallpaper is the Ivy Wall and the Daisy Meadow, with a White Boombox that plays K.K. Lullaby. His house strongly reflects the calm and relaxed nature of the Lazy villagers. In Animal Forest, Nate's house is very Asian styled, there is a Retro Tv, Hearth, and 2 Gyroids. The Wallpaper is the Shanty Wall and the Flooring is the Planked Tammi. No Stereo is in his house, therefore no music. He also has a fan in some cases. In New Leaf, he also has a recycling bin, where you can dispose of trash without paying a fee.

Trivia
In a recent official Animal Crossing poster featuring all the animals from New Leaf, the original version of the poster initially had a bunch of mistakes. One of which Nate was incorrectly labeled as Dozer. Which is very odd, since this was the New Leaf roster and Dozer hasn't been seen since the original games, as well as aside from both being male bears, they look nothing alike. (It had since been fixed and everyone who ordered got the revised poster for free along with an apology)
