Beau (ぺーター,, Pētā?) is a lazy deer villager who appears in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. His name is a masculine word means 'beautiful' or 'handsome' in French, and is pronounced 'Bow'. His initial phrase refers to a salt block, which some people use to attract deer. Beau is very similar to an antelope, which are deer-like animals that are common in Africa and Eurasia.

Beau has the appearance of either an impala or a kob, both species of antelope. He has an orange/ginger coat with a white snout.
