I will try once again to allay people's fears, because I'm getting pretty sick of the same concerns being thrown out over and over again while the Mafia just sit back and watch because nothing is being done.

Yes I've hosted two games, and I have played many games of Mafia in other places. Yes, I have experience of being on both sides. Look at my plan again though! I have explained exactly how to mitigate the effects of having elected scum. Do you really think scum me needs to be elected to wreak havoc in town? I'm primarily seeking election because I fear death. Town's primary killing tool is the lynch, which I am vulnerable to anyway, so I can 100% be held accountable to town.

If I am scum, I would be very wary of putting myself in the spotlight. Especially after making a post in which I gimp my ability to manipulate town, whilst simultaneously having to promise to towards town objectives.

While I agree that your plan is good, there is no way to know if you aren't scum. While scum you doesn't need to be elected to cause havoc, if you are elected that makes you invulnerable at night. I mean, you say yourself that you are seeking election because you fear death, but elected roles can still be lynched. I don't see the point in including that you are seeking election to escape death, when it only save you from night actions. While there is the chance it is because you fear being killed by the Mafia, couldn't it also be you fear being killed by vigs at night?

Kippla, it surprises me how you have over sixty posts and the game only started two hours ago. How do you plan on dealing with suspicions from players who suspect players who post a lot? I'm not saying posting a lot is bad, but it's only Day One. Everyone will have a chance to post something that's worth something. I know there are players out there, like Trundle, who don't like players saying "I agree" a lot without contributing something. Before, you said that this was a fast thread. IMO, you were one of the players who made this thread exactly like that. Too much spam will clog up the thread. Ask yourself if your post adds to the town's understanding. If not, just think of all the other important information that will soon be buried because of contentless spam. This goes for everyone as well.
I just had to get that off my chest. It just wonders me of how you posted so much and what you, personally, think of it.

DID YOU READ MY POST? I specifically stated in there that confirming the elected roles would be incredibly difficult with the number of roadblocks in the way. That is fine! Treat me like any other player that you need to confirm. In other worse, do not trust me and freely give me information.

I don't see the point in including that you are seeking election to escape death, when it only save you from night actions. While there is the chance it is because you fear being killed by the Mafia, couldn't it also be you fear being killed by vigs at night?

Why would the vigs target me? If I am playing so scummy to warrant a vig shot, then I should also be up for the lynch. Occam's razor applies to Mafia - the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. You correctly point out that seeking election to escape death only saves me from night actions. Outside of vig shots that I have already explained, what else can hit me? Yes, Mafia shots. Why am I afraid of Mafia shots? Because I am TOWN

1. Firstly, I would try my best to convice the rest of the town that the innocent person is innocent by showing good evidence showing they are part of the town. If the town still doesn't believe me, I would try to get the Sheriff to pardon their lynch, because in this game, I don't want a beary like lynch.

2. I would let try to give them a bit of a guideline, but I'm not gonna force them to follow it. If they have their own suspisions, they should go after it, and then they can tell me the results of it in the Day. 2 brains are better than 1.

3. I'm Town. (Trust me, if I was mafia, I wouldn't be bringing this attention towards myself, because I would slip up.)

I'm sorry. I just had a lot of questions for the mayor candidates because I think we can all agree that this is a very crucial part in the game. If we do well and pick a good mayor, the odds might definitely turn in our (the Town's) favor. But I have asked all the questions I need to now, and I'll be lurking for a while. Thanks for expressing this, I got a feeling myself I was posting too much again.

If you are truly trying to help town by discrediting me, you could be less vague about exactly why you think I'm scum. It also helps if you don't keep pointing out how new and inexperienced you are. This reeks of an uninvested attempt to FOS me. If you truly believe I am anti-town, you would be trying much harder to convince the others.

Besides the fact that the opening of that message is very sketchy, on what grounds do you say that? I mean, Karla is running for sheriff(or mayor not really sure) so wouldn't they try to get everyone to trust them? And with that, in Karla's response to me, they said "Treat me like any other player that you need to confirm. In other worse, do not trust me and freely give me information". So it doesn't really seem that much as they are trying to make everyone trust them. Also, with them giving believable arguments, would you rather a mayor elective give us arguments that have no point? I don't see where Karla is shady, considering their response to me filled in any disbelief I had of them. Then again, I'm new here so they may just be lying.

This has happened before in the previous game. This shouldn't be new to players who actually followed along with that game. iLoveYou was giving believable arguments, AND emphasizing being on Town. Did we vote for her? Yes. Did she do a good job of hiding her Mafia role? Extremely.

This is exactly why I'm being cautious. I don't more mafiaso being elected because they convinced us. No one has proof of their role, so it should be natural for us to be questioning of people who are running. Look how the convincing arguments and promises took us last game, and made us elect two mafiaso.
