Mafia TBT Mafia VIII: Dark Lord Ascending [Game Over/Town Win]

I think this case on Cory is good as well, but I'm holding my vote on Jeremy for today. We can look into Cory tomorrow.

Well after Oath *****ed at me in the IRC - I don't want this to divide our voting today. I agree with what Oath has had to say on Jeremy, I just couldn't contain my thoughts on Cory because it had been buzzing around my head since last night. So let's do this.

[01:21] <+oath2order> god dammit minties
[01:21] <+Minties> what
[01:22] <+oath2order> did you really have to post about cory
[01:22] <+oath2order> YOU'RE GOING TO DIVIDE THE VOTES AND WE MIGHT HAVE A NO LYNCH
[01:22] <+Minties> I WAS WRITING IT EARLIER
[01:22] * +oath2order endlessly screeches

I have posted Jeremy before, so now we have more evidence towards him, I think I'm going to vote there.

Bandwagons

Justin brought up a good point about the Day 2 bandwagoning - not only on BlueLeaf, but his point is also valid for the early part of the day too.

The first section of my largest post on Day 2 (here) is something I could have posted a good eight hours earlier than I actually did. I withheld on making my point about DarkNightMoon on purpose to see who would jump on Trundle's case against her. Results? Not including Trundle, the following names are the people who considered Trundle's evidence against DNM valid and most likely would have been happy to lynch her based on Trundle's case alone; the coloured names are those who went as far as voting for DNM:

  • Bellbringergreen
  • BlueLeaf
  • Justin
  • Zr388
  • Tom
  • ACNL Noodle
  • Karen
  • Syd
  • Jeremy

Please correct me if I missed anyone.

Karen made comments in the thread and later withdrew her vote.
Syd blindly imitated Karen without contributing to the discussion: both with voting and unvoting.
Jeremy didn't contribute to the discussion. Just voted.

Now, compare this with the list of names Justin called out for jumping on the BlueLeaf bandwagon (votes alone):

  • Jeremy
  • ITookYourWaffles
  • Cory
  • Zr388
  • Kit
  • Trundle

Two overlaps between the lists here. Jeremy and Zr388 - but Zr388 didn't go as far as voting for DNM.

Between (a) Jeremy's voting habits and (b) the evidence provided by oath2order, I think the case against Jeremy is currently the most solid - especially the remark about iLoveYou's comment on his visitor wall. I'm willing to unvote BlueLeaf (for now I'm satisfied with his responses to me and Superpenguin; plus I'm not particularly happy voting for someone who can't be online today) but to be fair I'll withhold voting until we hear a defence from Jeremy.

This voting is getting out of hand, everyone is making cases from player to player.
These players were brought up, that I consider suspicious
-DNM
Could be doing more to help town, but I don't really think she's scum.
-Blueleaf
Blueleaf I highly doubt is town, from what I have read, I'm keeping my vote on blue.
-Jer
I don't see anything really scummy like about him.
-Cory
Cory should definatly be looked into, Minties evidence was very good.

Either way this is what I have summed up in the last 19 mintues from reading, what do you all think?

The only reason I did that was because you guys are not voting and we risk not getting a majority. I don't know if you haven't noticed, but I haven't been too active this game so I'm not about to post a lengthy reason for my vote. I don't have any reason other than the fact that everyone else voted for him.

And oath, you have a bad memory. That is all.

I can't post much more until I'm not on mobile, but you anti-bandwagoners are rather hypocritical now aren't you?

Why?

What?

Really?

Oops this game has a Plurality Lynch. Oh well. If you lynch me you will see why voting for bandwagoners is a waste of time.

I have to agree on Jer's case. I was watching him but didn't see enough evidence in a quick search through of him. I was also watching Oath for not posting anything worthwhile, but I see he was just waiting around.

Just something to add to the case on Jer. Usually in the mafia games, Jer will message either me or Jubs because he really needs people to trust. Is there anyone in the game that has been in contact with Jer yet? He hasn't messaged me at all, and it's unusual of him.

I'm kinda afraid to switch my vote considering I've already voted for two different people, but I suppose I'll have to. I really like how this game is going and how well people are constructing posts. Before I cast my vote, I'll see what anyone else has to say about this whole Jer matter.

Also, I'd like to call out Netflix, as you only have 4 in game posts and your last one was 3-4 days ago. None of your posts have been worth a dime. Any reasoning for inactivity?

Everyone is bandwagoning on Jeremy without saying anything, which always scares me because it leads me to believe it's the mafia piling up on him, just like I was going to mention about Waffles in Cell Mafia (but didn't have the time). I would prefer Jer to make a defense and everyone to post their reasoning for their votes, please.

I've already made a mild defense, the best I can do from mobile. I won't get home until the day is close to ending and I can post more then. I haven't heard any good evidence against me, so just give me one point to respond to and I can post about that. I cannot not spend time replying to posts with multiple points until I get home. It's too difficult to multiquote on mobile.

Umm, maybe look at oath's post with his points against you and choose one? I'll list one and you can start from there.

-How do you know Dolby and Oath are on the same side?

Please read what you quoted. I can only reply to one at a time atm.

He was defending Dolby. Oath bringing that up again makes it sound like it might actually be true. I was half joking at the time.

Don't ask a question and then answer it yourself in the next sentence by the way. :]

Is there any way I can drop out? I just don't have as much time as I originally had when joining and would rather quit than be a nuisance for others trying to figure out Mafia.

I've been working on a school project, sorry. Spring break begins soon for me so I'll try to become more active.

And as of right now, I'm thinking of voting Jeremy because of the evidence Oath has posted (especially the part where a dead Mafia member VM'd him) as well as what Trundle said regarding
him not being in contact as usual - unless Justin has supposedly been in contact with him. I'll wait for Jeremy to post his full defense, but I don't think I'll be on until the end of voting.

Kayla's VM is as much evidence as my giving bells to BBG in the AC game.
