What's the point of playing to win if you hurt people's feelings? :/
I doubt it will hurt their feelings if they're showing no interest in the game whatsoever. If being lynched is something that'll hurt their feelings then they shouldn't have signed up in the first place. "Mafia is not for the faint-hearted or overly emotional."

Oops, I was beaten to it.
Depends who you ask, Oath.
You're hurting my feelings, Jen. I like you, I really do. You're very sweet. But as you've said before, this really isn't the game for you. I think you should start considering our reasons for why we do some of the things we do before refuting it as "unfair". If niceties and fairness were a reason to keep people alive in mafia, I would've lived through more than I did. The simple fact is that we don't care how people are outside of the game, we just don't, so long as we're playing the game.
Well, it's not just a game for some people and I will never think of it in that mindset. The game would be a lot nicer if it wasn't for that and considering how the games rarely even stay in their own thread (in fact, look how much you guys constantly bring past game stuff to a new game), people end up getting hurt even outside said game.

Not everyone feels they have a choice~
Then those people should not be playing either. It's been clearly stated in the opening posts that we play to win and if you're going to take things too seriously, you should not play.
But past stuff from old games helps us find traits that people have in current games.

But not everyone played those past games
I don't understand what you mean by this. Pofer chose to sign up in the first place, and nobody forced them to join the game.
The I don't have a choice so here I am signing up sign up :|
What I really think should change is how "unfairness" and being excessively harsh is the norm versus actually caring about people.
Okay/?? What's your point here?
I really don't get this.
Pofer has shown 0% interest in this game, so why would it hurt their feelings if we lynched them?
But we aren't being excessively harsh because this is a game.
If we use your reasoning, video games that involve violence should be about throwing cupcakes and rainbows at opposing people - not killing people with guns, etc.
Yes, but we were talking about Pofer who was 100% free to avoid mafia and not join. Not everyone makes deals (or whatever it was) with the host and feels they have no choice to play. c:I was pointing out the fact that I didn't have a choice whether I signed up or not.
