Mafia TBT Mafia XIV - Majora's Mask Redux - End Game

It's not logical though? Read my last post..

And you agreed with me saying he doesn't know anything about the game, newbie mafia was made to help people who don't know the game. We shouldn't have to deal with this crap in both main and mini. Learn the game or don't play the bigger games with experienced players..?

You are absolutely right! I agree with you 100% that he should be playing Newbie still! However, he's already in the game now so there's not much we can do about that. All we can do now is make the best out of the situation. Oath2Order decided to let him play, and honestly I do not blame him for that because it's not always easy to send someone that is interested in your game away, not allowing them to participate. It's hard to know where to draw the line, and not make people feel left out. Would everyone be allowed to play except Ryan? I reckon that's a bit harsh too.

But to everyone who reads this and still feel a little unsure of themselves in Mafia - Newbie games are made for a reason! Kindly keep playing those until you feel comfortable with how everything works. It will save you from getting chewed out excessively in the main games too.

##VOTE: No Lynch
Placeholder, as I probably won't be here. Taking it to the voting thread now.

We are just really smart.

We're pretty much geniuses.

This is my point though,
Most of us didn't have that privilege of coaches and newbie mafia yet people aren't using it and diving into a game with people who have played 10+ including myself and others. Islets annoying when in happens too. Why would someone coach other player who could be mafia or vice versa, I don't see the logic in tt.

You could mentor him yeah, say you're town.. Theoretical, and he's mafia.. That's a **** fest in itself, it doesn't work, I thought about coaching in frozen mafia but it's just not ideal.

Yeah.. I didn't even think of that.

I'm really tired of "oh they almost barely kinda want to improve, they deserve a chance now.". If someone wants to improve, this isn't the way to do it, and it doesn't mean we should ignore them because they claim that they'll try.

I'm really tired of "they're a dingus, you're a dingus, everyone's a dingus!". Did I say to ignore them?

God forbid the thought of trying to help someone improve, I guess.

Yeah, why would you risk wasting time in possibly helping Mafia, or in general just wasting time in general.

I just hate it when there are terrible players that don't give a crap about the game who sign up and do nothing. I never had a coach, like many others, and we didn't need them. The concept of this game isn't difficult at all. Newbie is more of a tier than something you do to learn the game, at least in my mind.

I realize it isn't the best idea to be playing in the game and helping mentoring another player... But I mean if someone that's observing wants to, what's the big deal?

There's been people coached in past mafia games that wasn't a newbie mafia.

Do what ever is necessary, I've said my piece I think it's ridiculous to have coaches in a main mafia especially when not stated, there are others who could want them too but don't and attempt to play. I find it pointless.

I don't know if I'm right, but I get the impression that Ryan really does care about the game. He's quite active most of the time, just that his posts lack any real content and are often one-liners or simply repeats information that has already been stated. However, he's signing up to a lot of games and seems to really enjoying playing. I think the problem is that he's just not very good yet. If we allow Natty to mentor him this game, then perhaps he'll be better in the future, which would make the games less frustrating for everyone.

wha? sorry if i'm wrong about this. x_x

i don't seen any other players getting mentored? I don't see it mentioned either?

Well back us up on this ridiculous situation! Come on how can anyone think this is a sane decision.

I wonder what happens when more than one person tries to steal a mask from the same person. I know we're on different nights probably (odd and even) but there are plenty of players in this game. I wonder if there's a way to prevent people from wasting time if someone is getting mugged by more than one person.

As of right now I'm still for a no-lynch. I can see Tina's point about day one behavior giving people something to analyze, but it's likely to be a mislynch on the first day and I think that the opportunity to steal masks from weak players and letting stronger players have them is a much better decision. For that reason, I'll vote no lynch. In b4 people say I'm maf because I no lynch voted in frozen a lot.

WHY WOULD WE ALLOW ANOTHER GOD DAMB PLAYER TO MENTOR ANOTHER BOTH ROLES UNKNOWN USE YOUR GOD DAMN BRAIN **** MY ****ING LIFE

- - - Post Merge - - -

Damn* I spelt wrong in my rage

Think about it, though - It's obvious that Ryan is easily influenced and manipulated either way. If we assign him a mentor then at least we have someone to hold responsible for Ryan's actions. Otherwise Mafia could easily deceive him and use him as their puppet without him even realizing, and it'd be much harder to tell who the main culprit behind it all would be. Ryan almost exclusively bandwagon votes - At least in past games - so with a mentor he might at least think twice about that decision and follow the mentors advice. If Ryan starts doing strange things, we know it's Natty's fault. If Ryan himself would be Mafia, he'd likely slip up somewhere when talking to Natty, and she'd figure it out. The only truly devastating outcome is if BOTH Ryan and Natty would be Mafia already, because then they could float on by for a while unnoticed by pretending to be town.

Ayy! I still wanna vote for Cap but whatevs! I'm still hooked onto her, because she literally disappeared. {wtf} Yet she's been posting all day and didn't even BOTHER to make atleast 1 post. With a lackluster defense to up this, I'm definitely voting for Cap. {and hope for the best..}
