This all the way. Also, this can be applied to Trundle. We have a replacements list, so if you guys are seriously this busy, there is absolutely no reason why you can't go tell Minties that you need to drop out. There is no shame in skipping a mafia game.

I'm absolutely fine with playing this game, just today and tomorrow are a bit hectic. I've been busy all weekend with band events and such and I'm just getting caught up with everything.

I'm also with Tina here. Being a blue for pretty much all the past mafia with the expection of one, I say blues shouldn't roleclaim right now, as its Day One and mafia could easily strike on you.

Nor should greens. That helps scum narrow down the blues.

I don't really have time to read any of this right now as I'm super stressed out with too much homework and not enough time to do it. I'll be a bit inactive this week but I'll try my best to post a bit. I've already cried twice today of stress so please just be a dear and cut me some slack

For the most part, I'm agreeing with everything that has been said so far (especially what Tina said about role claiming from personal experience) but I think the wrong names are being thrown out.

Here are some names I'd like to bring up/would be okay with lynching.
-MissNoodle
-Dolby
-Cory
-ITookYourWaffles


I'd prefer to lynch MissNoodle because she just lurks around and does pretty much nothing. I think the two names that have been brought up the most, Cory + ITookYourWaffles, will be easy to catch as scum. Cory slips up easily and Waffles surrendered so that's that for those two. And I honestly don't know what to think about Dolby after the day 1 mislynch last game, but I do believe he should be kept on close radar as he is good as scum.

I'm leaning towards this list right now. Although, I do agree with Superpenguin that if Cory and ITYW are scum we should be able to work them out quickly. MissNoodle has actually promised to try and contribute and I think it's worth giving her a chance to prove herself. As for Dolby... he's yet to even post.



'Lurkers'
Lame way to lynch this early in the game. If it gets to day 2 or 3, and someone is constantly in the thread but never posting, then that is when you declare them a lurker. It's too early in the game right now to do so.


Busy Folk
We've... a few of them. Day / night phases are 24 hours, unless I've misread. So even if you're busy please at least try to check in daily. I think a lot of us are busy right now, what with it coming to the end of the school year, so please at least try to keep up. You don't need to dedicate hours and hours to the game each day. But at least give it a little time.

Tina has pretty much summed up what we've all tried to say, I agree by not lynching lurkers because like I've said, I leave tabs open so I can just refresh when I'm reading. Most likely they're lurking because 1- they're new 2- they're town and don't know what to input 3-blue role trying to hide in the shadows and not draw attention and the main reason red trying to not draw attention.

She could have been a townie, mafia or blue role so i would like a replacement too, then we can have a good game instead of lynching because they're not posting

It'd take 3 novotes from her before she even gets modkilled and by that time it is passed the usual replacement period. I don't know if Minties would replace her without her consent, but I think that would be the best so a lynch isn't wasted.

It was not stickyfied before, but that has now been taken care of!

Feloreena just told me that she got a PM from Minties in which it said that she would have a spot in this gaming round, though I am not sure which player she is ment to be replacing. But Ashtot is also on the replacement list in case a secondary player would be needed. I think it will work out.

I will keep the posts lacking valuable information to a minimum , but I wanted to say Hello and that I hope this will be a fun game round. I'd also like to applaud Minties on really setting a nice tone for the day with her story. I am a fan of BioShock and your writing was excellent! I hope the other day-and-night openings will be just as fun to read.

@ Tina - Towards the later part of the game, figuring out exactly which people that have which roles is often crucial to Towns victory, because that is the best way to notice if the scummy people have made RoleClaims that quite frankly doesn't add up. However, I do agree that delaying this process until a few days has passed is a good idea - Information is so important in Mafia and it's very true that something that really screws town over is often leaked to the baddies. I'm going to be very careful, and I hope everyone else follows your example.

Only role-claim to people you trust and with specific names it will be easier to notice scum.

Waffles and Cory are clearly both scum just pretending to hate each other so that we won't suspect them working together. So obvious.

@ SuperPenguin - You are absolutely right. The day will only be 24 hours long so it's important we get some ideas rolling. I feel like you oldschool veterans know better which people are the most active and helpful, and which aren't. Personally I WOTC'd Cory because I felt that his behaviour in the previous game (where he did get WOTC'd!) was very unsportsmanlike since he kept on posting after his death a few times. But I guess there was not enough votes.

If you are certain that you will be able to tell if Waffles is scum based on his actions later on, then I guess it would be a waste to get rid of him right now - He is at least more active than MissNoodle is in the other Mafia game currently being carried out too. PurplPanda did kind of screw up a bit during that round and I was able to figure out his role really early when he started talking about his daily power, but he certainly tried his best to be helpful. (And if he slips up as town, he could slip up as scum too!) I do not know anything about Alise but if you are certain that she will be useless then I think she sounds like our best option currently. But that is based entirely on what you've told me about her, so it would be useful if someone else could confirm her lack of activity and if she's forgotten to use her actions multiple times in the past.

@ Cory - Yes, we heard that same story on Day 1 during the last Mafia game but I actually proved to be an extremely valuable asset there over time, which I am sure that the people who survived there for a while will agree with. If you don't believe me you are more than welcome to ask them yourself.

Also, I do not feel that complimenting Minties on her story-writing talents was a waste of time. I think that it adds more depth to the Mafia game when you really take your time to put a little effort into the day-and-night posts and I doubt I am the only person who feels that way and appreciates the extra suspense it creates. You probably do not understand this because you're about 12 years old and would rather watch reality TV than read a story, I'm guessing.

You're just bitter because I WOTC'ed you. I will probably do the same again next game. Deal with it.
