also @Oblivia i’m begging you to tell me how you came up with egg #10, the shaving post egg is one of the randomest i’ve seen LOL

I'm happy to share this! We actually needed one more community clue last minute due to a miscount, so I volunteered to come up with something. The process went something like:

1. Pick a larger board with a lot of posts to ensure some digging is involved, so this had me scouring pages 500, 1000, etc. of Brewster's until I was like "you know what let's do page 404 because that would be workable in clue format", so that's where I started.

2. Pick a thread that isn't at the very bottom of the board to ensure it isn't bumped to the next page, though at the time I seriously underestimated how much people would be relying on the forum search function. I guess I still think back to our hunts years ago where search was disabled and you all had to go deep digging to find eggs.

3. Find a user who a. had a username I could morph into a pun of sorts and b. would be recognizable enough that I could work one more aspect of their forum existence into a clue. Alienfish was perfect for this since they have the most TBT posts.

Sooo I ended up with the shaving thread since it fit all of the above criteria. To be honest I do think it'd be kinda funny to just... randomly pick a thread about shaving due to the topic, but that wasn't my motivation this time around. I actually wrote out 3 different clues pointing back to three different threads, but ultimately decided to use the shaving clue because I was told it was the hardest to solve.

Maybe I was overthinking that. What I think of now is that they won’t use it in their next egg hunt because someone already gave them ideas of where to look if it was publicly posted.

(And by that I mean anywhere besides private message)

well, the staff could use it as a distraction during camp bell tree. Imagine doing a puzzle, then another egg/bird/whatever comes along and takes your attention span, and when you finally solve it, you get no currency and your team goes down in the rankings because you, the lone user, found it. (that may be TOO devious, but I could go worse...)

yeah, if staff wanted to use a community-made clue i can see them barring said member from participating next year hence i doubt they'd ever do this, but i'd imagine just posting a clue is harmless.

Literally my favorite banner OF ALL TIME or as the hipsters like to say, it's GOAT but seriously I love this so much! I definitely wouldn't mind seeing it stick around a little longer! (couldn't quite capture it mid jump though haha) it's just so green and like stepping into a lovely turnip field! Zipper and Leif took hybridization to a whole other level LOL
